1. I'm glad the techs are back to normal, that was horrible. 2. The only series I saw that was close to 04' in officiating was utah/houston.
Not to change the course of the thread, but the real test will be how physical Utah is allowed to be with GS this series. If they switch to calling this tight all of a sudden, Utah is done.

It will be interesting - I for some reason like Utah. Besides the fact methinks they matchup well I think the Paper mache in Davis' knee has to give soon and the peanut in jackson skull is starting to rattle and the voices in his head are getting louder. But back to Flip, we are stuck with him, I don't agreee with some of his gimmicks but he has shown some tangible progress, for that I am pleased. Not leaving Sheed in with those 2 quick fouls in that Orlando game was a good sign of leadership and not being a total pushover.
I went to ITT Tech, when the 2nd redeux was coming out. It was torture^3 nobody would talk about anything else, for 2 straight years.
Hmmm...wonder what Slippy is doing these days? Maybe I should take him off my ignore list. Wait...I can see this! Darn...I meant to push ignore and I put him on my ignorant list by accident. Well...actually...seems about right.
There was a drop from 04 to 05 in how Brown coached the Pistons. In 04, putting aside the fact that he would not let Okur take a jump shot when he actually has turned out to be the 2nd best jump shooting big man in the league. Putting that lack of vision and analysis of talent aside LB did an excellent job in 04. What happened in 05? 7-man rotation? Only 3 bigs were in playing condition? If you follow Brown career wise. After his peak year he progressivly gets worse each season and gets harder to get along with. If LB had stayed I am convinced that we would be a .500 team right now. Flip was not exactly my dream coach but the guy should get some props for the job he has done so far this season. He has addressed every concern from last season and has the team in tip top shape and ready for a great run. At the end of it all we could be seeing Flip Saunders actually tie Larry ( the great ) Brown in the number of total career NBA Championships.
Larry Brown is OVERRATED as a coach................ Flip Saunders is UNDERRATED as a coach............... We all are learning his value to the organization..................
Agreed... if LB had always taken over winning teams (cough Phil Jackson) then I could understand this... but this guy turned several teams around. Flip is right where he should be until he wins the big one... however he was strapped with some serious sanctions and salary restrictions.
Yea but it took Brown 25 years as a pro coach before he finally fell into a situation that D. Vitale could have won a title with. This in only Flip's 12 year as a pro coach. So if Flip doesn't win a title in the next 14 years of coaching in the pros, then you can get back to us and remind us what you said in 2007.
