    I agree on all counts.

Webber had better get back to midseason form quickly, since his scoring against Ben is going to be our only reliable offense in that (hypothetical) series.

Shaq and his ilk seem on way out on ChicagoSports.com
Seems a little premature. The Bulls have won a home playoff game. Whoopity doo.

The sound you just heard was several of Flip Saunders' cervical vertabrae popping because of an unusually severe neck twitch.

That's an invalid reason because it doesn't consist of or contain 'hitting more shots.'

Look in today's paper for an image of Webber's "smothering defense" on Howard. Who needs Ben?

I really could go either way. It would be more entertaining to see the Pistons/Bulls but it would also be great to see them lose in the 1st round. Miami as well, so who knows.

Yeah... too bad they can't both lose in the first round. :)

Wow--Nocioni with 7 points in the last 10 seconds of the first quarter! That was big.

Deng has been awful so far, but Gordon and Hinrich have been hitting, and the Bulls are hustling well on both ends. Defense on Shaq and Wade has been pretty good; Heat scoring has been balanced, but no single player has really been able to get going for them yet.

1st gem I saw after getting home....Mourning clobbers Thomas after a dunk attempt...no foul. Hinrich slightly bumps Wade on a layup....foul.

Actually I thought that Zo block on the Tyrus dunk attempt was clean. Zo was doing a nice job on both ends, before dropping passes out of bounds on two consecutive possessions.

...and what the hell is the deal with the "professionals" at TNT? This is the second night in a row the audio level is clipping to the point of distortion on the non-HD broadcast.

    idiots.

Bulls have generously let the Heat get right back in it with a string of dumb turnovers. They're shooting well, but their ball-handling is breaking down.

Ben was shoved from behind just before the Posey three... I can understand giving Shaq free throws whenever he's blocked, but why Haslem gets non-calls is beyond me.

    And Duhon is just awful.

The block was clean, but you don't get to lay a guy out on the follow through, just because you hit the ball first. Zo clearly forearmed the guy across the face/neck after the block.

That's like players who argue that they shouldn't be called for a foul because a guy doesn't have the ball or that they can run a guy over after he's shot the ball. It's the equivalent of a loose ball or off the ball foul.

Kapono was the one keeping the Heat in it in the second quarter, and also Posey hitting those two 3s. The Bulls actually did better when Shaq was on the floor.

I think I am going to go with the Bulls now. Be nice to get another crack at Miami but its been 2 years straight already. We got them, they got us. Shaq is getting old.

Pistons have been beating up on the Bulls in the reg season since the Jordan days but we are yet to face them in the playoffs since that disaster in 1991. They are kind of cocky anyway about the 3 seasonal wins so that would be a fun series. Send Ben home early. Show the Bulls that its not breaking any rules to have a center that is actually capable of making shots and hitting FT's.

Great start for the Bulls in the 3rd, back up 11. They're pushing the pace, and Shaq has barely even touched the ball.

Holy crap, Bulls by 16! This is an incredible run they're on. PJ has been an X-factor for them with his jumpers, but everything's working for the Bulls right now.

That flagrant foul was total BS...at least Shaq turned it over so it didn't end up mattering.

Wow, Skiles is about to strangle Nocioni for giving up a layup to Antoine.
