Bill Russell looked like he was rooting for the Heat. :)

I didn't think Stern looked THAT disappointed.

I'm happy for him. After getting canned in his circumstance, he deserves this

    Comgrats to the Mavericks.............Outstanding Season.

Congrats to those picking the Mavs in less than 7.............your confidence should be rewarded.

Yea, Russell gave that trophy to Dirk and then he sprinted off stage like he was late for a dinner reservation or something...

Wade's statement after the 2006 championship run.............

“Dirk says they gave us the championship last year, but he’s the reason they lost,” Wade told Miami reporters in 2007. It’s “because he wasn’t the leader that he’s supposed to be in the closing moments." “At the end of the day, you’re remembered for what you did at the end.”

I agreed with this statement after Dallas lost against the Heat in 2006. I felt that the Mavs had whined too much about the officiating the series. I'm glad that the Dallas owner kept his mouth shut this time and that Dirk finally played up to his potential...

Don't blame this loss on Lebron....to many superstars on the team and you don't know who to pass it to. If this was HIS team, he would have taken nearly all of the shots.

Wade was the leader and the facilitator, and had already been penciled in as the MVP. He just couldn't deliver today or in game 5 ... thanks to "the custodian"

They can win plenty of games over the next 5 years, but they need to learn how to play together in crucial playoff games and designate a leader.

I don't really have a problem with Lebron like others....I just did not want Wade, Riley or that Mario Chump-ers to win a ring this year.

Will Spoelstra be back next year, or will Riley go and un-retire Phil Jackson the next time the NBA decides to play a season:sssh:

I really enjoyed hearing Mark Jackson proclaim with 6 minutes to go in the game... and this is paraphrased:

"I've been around basketball my whole life. And sometimes you can just tell when a guy is about to go off. Well Dwyane Wade has that look in his eyes right now and I'm expecting him to take over this basketball game."

Instantly after he said that, Barea drained a tough 3-pointer. Then Wade dribbled off of his foot and turned it over shortly after. Then the floor tilted and Dirk caught fire while Miami's players broke out in a cold sweat and got that scared look on their faces.

Also, just a side note, but as cold as Dirk was tonight, he still scored as many points as anyone on the Heat and he lead the game in rebounds.

Lebron was a disgusting -24 on the night while on the court.

What an enjoyable evening of bball!

Still no crown for King as James, Heat fall short - NBA - Yahoo! Sports

    Jerk.

And he said he wouldn’t let it bother him that so many were so happy to see him fail.
“Absolutely not, because at the end of the day, all the people that were rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day, they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today,” James said. “They have the same personal problems they had today.

This was one of the best non-Piston series that I have seen in a long time. Good job Dallas.

With perennial arrogants winning the last three years in the Lakers and Celtics and another arrogant team in the Heat threating to take another title, most of America was happy with this Mavs win as they were with the Pistons win in 2004.
