Is it still fashionable to consider the Mavs as contenders..........
That is correct. People do find a connection with a higher power, in places like the Desert and Mountains, but usually not around autos, unless you live in So CA. LOL
No doubt, ahb. I'd be surpised if he makes it past the preseason. I'm not disappointed with Hill headed out West. Pistons have enough veteran leadership.
The Mavs were 67-15 (.817) last year. Except for the hiccup in the playoffs, they were by far the best team. Which team has surpassed them in just the last 2 months?
I'm so glad he didn't join the Pistons. Having Dyess off the bench plus 5 veteran starters is enough. I don't want to be scared every time GH makes a crossover or something. Not get someone relatively young or stick with AJ.
Yippie !!!! Let our youngsters play. A C is our more urgent need anyway.
We could ask Don Nelson...........or Mark Cuban...........
But the only vet we have hungry for a ring is Dice. Nazmo has one already and DDavis is just working long enough get money to pay off the remaining backers that helped him finance the movie he produced back in 2004. (Playas Ball) At this point we need a vet chasing a ring who is hungry, can provide leadership and more importantly still play!!!
I'd like to see some starters who are hungry for a ring...........
Sayonara to gimpy-feet Hill. When he originally left the team he tried to hire away Arnie Kander to help keep him in playing shape. Arnie refused and Hill spent the next 6 years getting bad advice and making bad decisions. This is just one more. I'm basically cool with it cause the teams needs to lower its average age and add some serious athelticism. Hills over the hill, as an aside I'm not buying that the Pistons have been sitting on their hands not contacting any agents regarding other players.
I think Grant needs to change his first name to Overthe.
I hope Grant Hill gets his ring. He has been working hard for it. Although, it would be nice for the Pistons to crush his dreams.
There wiil be no ring ceremony in Phoenix next season or in 2008-09. There is not enough defense being played there and the excellent shooting that was being exhibited the past couple seasons has probably run it course. In other words the Suns window of opportunity is closing as fast as the Pistons....
That would be something if they did not get out of the 1st round now.
The Suns are a legitimate contender and Hill will help them. We are more questionable than the Suns right now in my opinion. Our center position is unresolved and we will be playing a lot of rookies. I won't miss Hill as his defense was not very good and we really don't need another older player. We do need an established scorer off the bench, though.
It would have been great to have him and his leadership. I want to see him do well in Phoenix. He may surprise. Might be a great rebound season for him seeing that he is like the 4th option on offense.
what a waste. all he had to do was look at Jalen rose and see what is in store for him. you go from franchise player to championship footnote. At least with this team, he'd be a key addition. i want to think that its how you win a title that plays into it. maybe he'll actually contribute. i dunno
Interesting take by Parker: Suns fit bill best for Hill
