How does the new core (thus far) compare to the '04 core?

    Lets just straighten something out.

    The only value that BG and CV have as trade pieces, is for teams going for a slashing rebuild approach. Pick up two monstrously overvalued contracts, to the tune of twenty million, and let them walk when they expire. As a result, we are absolutely not going to be able to trade them this year. I would pretty much just drop that thought from your mind.

    Could we get decent picks taking this approach? Absolutely not. But we could definately pick up a half decent player somewhere along the line. E.g - Amare S. Say the knicks flop even harder and decide to rebuild. They swap BG + CV with 2 years of hell for four years of 20m a year Stat. The team nosedives, picks up a good lottery spot and still has money to purchase in FA. We get stuck with Mr Knees.

    I love those pictures Walter. At work on my screensaver I have nothing but Piston pictures floating by all day, 90% Sheed, altho I have to admit I've added some Greg Monroe on there lately, and just a few Phil Eagles, I love them too......
