    First thread!

New to this guys, but just wondering how many wins you predict the Pistons to win this year, and how you see them do, come the playoffs?

I put them somewhere in the 46-50 win catagory. I'm hoping they get it together and start seeing them play some basketball we all know they can.

AI was bought in for the 'playoff punch' so will be interesting to see if he can provide that extra something.

    Cheers guys :thumb:

If everything goes well we can fight with Orlando for the 3rd seed , but i can see Pistons ending up with 40-45 wins. The most probable number is 48-50 wins.

    Welcome Yessir:

I reluctantly picked 51+, I am being really liberal with this number. Hopefully, we can begin to gel and begin to develop some consistency, sooner better than later.

    Curry blows chunks.
But we regroup in the playoffs and get outed in the ECFs.

I said these words before the season began...I'll stick with em...

I wanted Flip to play the bench more before last season began. He didn't and now he's gone. I expect Curry to be more focused on the whole roster and we will see a plethera of combinations this season. More experimentation will affect our record. I will also predict some serious injuries this season. Players are older and we're due. Curry will be pushing for a playoff ready team and will sacrifice regular season wins to achieve this goal. I'll go with a 43-39 regular season record, and we fall short of the ECFs...

Pistons seem to have better finishes when they start slow. Really are not in that bad of shape at 13-9.

is it a public vote? do we know who voted at 25 - 30? it is good that the pistons are at 13 wins now, or he/she would chose 10 wins for the season.

41-45 if Joe D keeps the team the way it is, I'm not complaning it's still a solid number of wins...We'll maybe get the 3rd or 4th seed with 41-45 wins

Interesting to project...Based ONLY on CURRENT win %.

    Boston 75-7
    Cleveland 68-14
    Orlando 62-20
    Atlanta 51-31
    Detroit 48-34
    New Jersey 43-39
    Miami 41-41
    Chicago 38-44

Based on this...We'd probably face Atlanta, Boston, then Cleveland to make it to the finals........Ugggggh...

Well if Orlando wins their division and we finish a few games behind the Cavs, the best we can shoot for is the 4th seed...

I think they changed this rule a couple of years ago when Dallas and San Antonio met in the second round.

The 3 division winners and the fourth team are sorted in order of record to determine seeds 1-4. So if we had a better record than Orlando, we could still be the third seed even though they won their division.

Either that or the rule never actually changed like they talked about and I am on crazy pills.
