Not necessarily. Do you remember Rodney White? He's not as great as Rodney Stuckey.
I'll need to consult with 356 on that.
The Bulls were what 45-2 at one point in 96 and finished with 72 wins. Pistons were below .500 in 05 at one point around now. So its hard to say, lot can happen in the 2nd half.
Ha Yes!! At least one person remember that! I put that in one of my post on another thread and told everyone to calm down about the beginning of the season. It's a long season.
Bump.... Right now, the Pistons are only on a 47 win pace.... I think they'll pick up their level of play again with the regular lineup and finish with about 51-52 wins. I just can't see the 50 win season streak coming to an end. The 6 consecutive ECF appearances will almost surely end this year though.
i said 46-50 I think the boys will go on quite a run. Finish 4th in the East
I chose "41-45" and Curry is trying extremely hard not to make me a liar. Darn you Curry!!!!!!!
Honestly, they should still be able to win 50 games without too much difficulty. The east is still not very deep at all, it's just top-heavy. (meaning the best teams are really good). The Pistons have a nice stretch of home games to get them back on track..... hopefully.
Optimistic: 50 Pessimistic: 46
At this point, I don't think we finish above .500. I hate to say it, but I also wouldn't be surprised if we didn't make the playoffs.
I voted in the 41-45 bracket and with 24 wins and 40 games left, if we split those we should feel good to get those 44 victories. We would have to play almost .625 ball to get back to 50... and with the current lack of leadership and motivation, I don't see that happening. With that being said, the goal is to play with some pride and be competitive so that you do make the playoffs and try get by the first round... If those factors fail, FIRE the Coach!!!
If the Pistons fail to reach the playoffs (which is pretty hard to do) then Curry is gone imo. There's way too much talent on this team for them to not be a playoff team, at the very least.
We will make the playoffs and unlike many other people I think we can surprise a lot of people if the coaches and players stop feeling sorry for themselves and get things going. 51-55. .625 ball is not much to ask. 2/3 games is not a lot. Time to start winning again.
Also, we're going to have to play about .625 ball just to play .500 ball coming up because of the strength of schedule.
We have to play .625 ball in order to play .500 ball? Huh? Too many spreadsheets for you, TaS....
I think you're picking up what I've laying down.
I said that they would get around 46-50 wins.
pistons is dropping in standings: atlanta is already better and miami is catching up....
I know man. I hate how low we are in the standings. I will be happy if we get the 3rd seed, content if we get the 4th seed, and pissed if we get anything lower.
Wow... is this team gonna even win 45 games? And it might actually be best if the Pistons fall to the 6th seed, just so they get Orlando in the first round. They might still have a shot in that series..... maybe.
