I envisioned something horrible tonight. Just horrible.

    We're Detroit.
The rusty midwestern city that's known more for crime than prime time.

We have hatred for all "NBA darlings".
    ...hated Jordan
    ...hated Shaq
    ...hate LeBron

Please keep in mind that it IS possible to respect someone's game and still hate 'em.
I hope LeBron James loses every game he plays!

Wade, Bosh, and James all have 2014 player options for $20 million. If all three of them were to take them, the only cap space that Miami would have left would be if Wade retires, and even then you're looking at James, Bosh, whatever other scraps they manage to collect this year and next, and maybe another max FA (problem is, as it stands the 2014 free agency class kinda sucks). It won't be the same team. They might be able to lure an aging no-championship veteran, but at that point they won't have developed any young talent and they'll be a three-headed monster with no team to back it up.

Meanwhile, James can pretty much go wherever he wants, including to a team that HAS developed their young talent, has one of the best young point guards in the league, and actually would have the cap space to bring in another max FA.

    I mean, which is a better trio - Irving/James/Gasol, or Wade/James/Bosh?

Noel's gonna be one of the better post-defending and rebounding big men in the game. And imagine him running a court with LeBron and finishing all those dunks..

Behind LeBron, Durant, CP3, I'm not sure there's a better perimeter player in the league right now than Irving. He's good.
Remember that another max FA will most likely join him wherever he goes..

I think some of us long time posters still remember the 4 game sweep (after the Pistons won the first two at home) that the Cavs laid on the Pistons in 2007 ECF when our lack of passion crowned James the king. He scored the last 25 points in double OT game 5 at the Palace as Tay, Sheed, C-Webb and Dice proceeded to open a clear lane for James to waltz to the hoop ala last nights Pacer-Heat game.

I don't have any hate for him...anymore, in fact I like him better than Jordan or Kobe and was happy that he won the ring last year...but enough is enough, I don't want to see Wade win anymore rings, so lets go Pacers!!

What you are saying is the next big Collusion of superstar FA's will be in Cleveland? Cleveland?

By 2014 anything can happen. I think its more likely that 2013 draft pick #1 will be leaving in 2016 rather than attracting the next big dynasty in Cleveland.

I think the next Big Collusion will be wherever Lebron wants it to be.

Give me a break. I'd take Curry, Harden, Westbrook, D-Will, George, Parker, etc etc over him any day of the week.

Noel needs TOOO much work on his body and his inside game.. IF the "wrong" team draft's him, he won't develop nothing. He has potential but he has to prove the potencial in action.

I didn't said Irving wasn't good, he is great, but the injuries are real man. Rose is great but he hasn't played in a year, Rondo is great, but Boston lost to NY in this years playoffs.

What am I trying to say?

1st season --- out of 66 games, he played 51.
    2nd season --- 84 games, he played 59.

And have in mind the ENTIRE year he lost at Duke.

Like it or not, you can't have a STAR and RELY on HIM if he is injury prone. Just Look at this playoffs, the injured "big names"...

Again, I'm not saying Irving is bad, he an all-star, but It has no use if he is going to miss THAT much games due injuries.

I always blamed Sheed for the dive the players for those losses. Shame Knight wasn't on the team. He'd have stepped in front of LeBron a few times.

That would clog the lane pretty badly.

If you had Curry + Thompson on that team. Then there would be serious damage.

Knight would not have ducked out of the way. But then again that clip would still be shown every year for as long as leBron makes the playoffs.

I defy anybody to have read this ESPN the Mag insert and not develop a pretty healthy dislike of LeBron.

I also dislike that LeBron thinks he's fooling us with his extra wide head band.

It's OK LeBron, we all know that you're balding. Time to shave that head and get it over with.

Neither of those two things are good reasons to hate Lebron.

I don't dislike you because The Simpsons has gotten stale and you have Milhouse as your avatar.

Milhouse may not be as funny as he was 15 years ago, but he also never took his talents to South Beach. And even if he decided that he was going to leave Springfield, I'm pretty sure he would handle his exit interview better than LeBron.

We hate lebron because we love the Pistons. He's THAT Guy that we have to beat. If he said one day on ESPN3 that he was going to take his talents to Detroit, I'd take down my James dart board and buy a jersey. I hated Jordan. I hated Bird. They were against us. But after it was over, I simply love what they did on the court. One day I'll admire what he did and on some theoretical level, I respect his skills. Fans, anti-fans...its all part of the same tapestry. Its because he is great.

Truth is that its hard to hate any of the stars anymore cause the Pistons don't belong in their league.
The stars are who I have to appreciate these days. I certainly like Lebron more than Stuckey............

Me too but if Stuckey went to the Spurs and super collided his way to 2 titles while we missed the playoffs, I'd still be happy. Happy he went someplace else.
