If they Pistons end up getting the 8th seed and play the Heat, it might make for a crazy interesting series to watch. The Pistons will have a guy that can guard Lebron (Smith) and a lineup that can outmuscle Miami (Smith/Monroe/Drummond). I'm not saying that they're championship material, but that would be an absolutely fascinating series to watch.

I think we'd match up extremely well against them too. Their guards won't hurt us. Lebron will have nowhere to drive and he'll be stuck on the perimeter with Josh Smith in his face.

I'd wondering if Pistons could score enough to keep up. Another wild card is Oden.

The Pistons added some offense (Smith-17.5ppg, Jennings-17.5ppg, Billups, Pope, Luigi, etc.). They have enough weapons if they can get the chemistry and teamwork down.

I am worried that there aren't enough shooters on the team and that defenses will pack the paint and dare them to shoot from outside. But I agree that chemistry and teamwork will drive the offensive success.

Not all European players manage to find their game in NBA and you have a rookie along with a 37-year old vet to depend on. I sure hope everything pans out and they hit the jumpers to open up the inside game, but there's that risk there as well. That is all I am saying.

Jennings alone with his ability to shoot off the dribble makes it harder for teams to "pack the paint". Him shooting off of pick and rolls along with some combination of Drummond, Monroe and Smith hitting the offensive glass should be good.

This is why I see Billups playing the 2 most if the time also. I don't think he's been all that effective playing there for the Clippers, but I do think he'll shoot from there (quickly if the last few years hold true) which will keep the pace up and provide value.

A jump shooting PG is exactly what we needed. We already have guys with less range in Bynum and possibly Siva.

With these bigs we have, as long as Jennings can make entry passes to the post and run the P&R we're golden.

I am still so excited about this team!

They should be exciting to watch, that's for sure. My big question is how effective will they be. Always hoping for the best.

Sure it is a good match up, but yeah we might win one game.

The problem there is Wade, not Lebron. You just have to accept that Lebron will get his 25/7/7 a game, and just try to make it as inefficient as possible. But we have nobody who can guard Wade. That is the bigger problem. We would end up in foul trouble.
