I guess Dean would have to outplay Acker to get any shot at playing time here. I don't think Buckets will be back next year, and I'm not sure about Lindsey either, so a couple of guards could be handy. I just see him as the best option at our draft position. Maybe a couple years in Fayetteville and we could bring him up to the show.

What ever we do, no more Euros (unless we're talking about the 2nd round). I DO like Micro's pick (Saer Sene) for our late 1st rounder tho.

I offer Glen "Big Baby" Davis of LSU, or Patrick O'Bryant. This Joakim Noah fella is a beast. He's the son of tennis great Yannick Noah and his athlete wife (don't remember who she is...other than she was a helluva athlete). The center for UCLA, Hollins appears to be underrated. He seems to stretch out like Tay.

I have a feeling Joe won't blow this one. Whatever we do....go big!

It's a good year for Minnesota to flop since we've got their 2nd rounder (currently @ 38)... with the draft depth this pick could be similar to a 12-20 pick... it's only 8 picks after the first rounder we would have had.
It should make for an excellent trading chip for a young vet.
What are we gonna do with two 2nd rounders?
I'd say go for a project that has excellent defensive abilities... either at center or PG... maybe they can polish their "O" game in the D-League for a couple years.
    No offense only guys!

Don't you mean no white guys? Saer Sene plays in Europe. What about him makes you like him but not other "Euros"? The guy averages 10 minutes a game, 3.3ppg, and 4rpg for his euroleague team, and he's a worse free throw shooter than Ben Wallace.

BTW, NBADraft.net has his stock now up to a 14th pick. Though he seems like one of those guys that could either get picked in the top 10 or the bottom could fall out. I as well think he'd be worth a shot later in the round, but I don't see why you say "no more euros (unless it's the 2nd round)" then offer up Sene with our 1st rounder.

So much for Sene, he had 9 blocks the other day at the Nike Hoops summit (tying KG's record), and the hype bandwagon has officially started rolling. I imagine that means he'll probably come out now while he's "the next big thing".

First Cedric Simmons declares, now Sene. I'll be pissed if this "Orlando Pick" draft gets continues to get watered down. All of the bigs are entering earlier than expected.

Well, I did notice that Saer Sene is one of the ten most searched terms when people find PF.com from Google, MSN and Yahoo.

Go figure. In some miniscule way, we helped fuel the hype with this thread.

2007 is awfully far away. This year? If James Augustine of Illinois was hanging around in the 2nd I might go for him. He's got a nice motor for a big guy.

We didn't run him through the microwave. We left him on the shelf--the one down in the basement. :ohwell:

His scouting report looks AWFULLY FAMILIAR. His clips look like a cross between Barigani and Delfino.

Yeah. I'm reserving opinion until I hear what Chad Ford has to say.

Just so you know, Yi's generally thought to be several years older than his reported age. He's also going to need a ton of weight work and there will always be crap to deal with in terms of China demanding he play constantly every offseason.

Yeah, but how cool would it be for us to have a guaranteed all-star every season?

This is all part of my global expansion policy!
