idling pistons

    That could very well be our last attempt at signing semi-quality free agents.

    P. S. I didn't like the signings to begin with.

    Far worse? How is this any different from the 2010-11 Detroit Pistons? On paper they may look better than a team deserving of that description but in reality they are nothing more. There are no thoughts of Championships or really even making the playoffs. All we CAN hope for is that all the Pistons get hot at the same time and beat another team. Wins ARE very rare.

    I have no memory of a timeframe when we were attracting quality free agents because of the things you'r talking about here. I do remember a lot of times when we discussed why quality free agents wouldn't come here even during the post-2004 championship run when we were good and Joe D was well-regarded in the league.

    I am of the belief that after 2004, we weren't really looking for quality free agents. Not until after Flip and Chauncey left, when we became an also-ran team.
