It does, but some people do. It's really the only way I can explain the insane fandom for certain players who shall remain unnamed. YKW.
I don't think Sam necessarily agreed that it was a good thing but he thought it was a marketing ploy for sure. I remember him going into great detail about how Darko would sell better to a predominantly white audience. I thought that since we were selling out every game and leading the League in attendance that the guys we had were doing a good job bring in the fans. Since Sam abruptly stopped posting at either forum it makes you wonder what happened. If one of us gets run over by a car ...who would know?
Tech's Crittenton to stay in NBA draft | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle Javaris Crittenton, Scouting Report for the 2007 NBA Draft
Javaris Crittenton is the real deal, he has all the basics we need, but he has problems dealing with pressure situations, and could use some better decision making. As far as upside, this kid can be great, he has the size, the work ethic, and the mind set to really lead Detroit in the future. I think putting him behind Chauncey would help this kid leaps and bounds, similar to Big Ben's impact on Maxy and Rasheed's impact on Darko (whether he admits it or not). I dont think Will Blalock will work as well as Javaris Crittenton at the 1, we'll see, but i'm really pulling for him with our 15th pick. I say this as a GT alumn from Detroit, i've followed J Critt the whole season, and was very pleased when the Lions picked up CJ, GT to DT
I've seen him a few times. He can get his shot whenever he wants it. He's a special passer, especially for someone his size. He's got some swagger. He is clueless when it comes to running a team. He could be another Gary Payton, or another Smush Parker. High risk/high reward.
