I would hate to see Monroe traded at this point. His defense isn't very good, but he grabs boards, scores, and passes well. Although Drummond is amazing to watch, I don't think he can keep up that level of play for more than 5 or 6 minutes at a time. Once he learns how to harness that energy and improves his conditioning, then we can see how he does as a starter.

    K-G, Dude!
...You wrote the owners manual for the ESPN Trade Machine!
...We all know that Joe reads this board and steals your ideas.
...You my friend, might be the most creative armchair GM in the history of casual internet basketball fandom.

Money & Jeb for freaking ...Spellcheck?
    ...You feelin' awight man?

I haven't seen a deal this one-sided since Tractor Traylor was traded for Dirk Nowitzki!
That trade makes the Indian Removal Act of 1830 seem like a good deal for Native Americans!

    Yes, I'm a hater. - Sorry, I can't 'hush'!

I'd rather line the interior of Roundball-One with asbsetos, pump Downriver-Detroit smog into the Pistons' practice facility and require all rostered Piston players to begin chain-smoking filterless Lucky Strikes.
This is a comprehensive plan that seems like a much more cap-friendly solution to achieving the goal of adding CANCER to the team.

    I repeat:
Carmelo Anthony will NEVER win an NBA championship.
    ...not for the Pistons
...not anywhere (he might do it as an end-of-the bench guy in the twilight of his career).

Ok. You are Dumars, I'm Glen Grunwald. One day I call you...

"Hey Joe. Look I know its been a while, and I didn't return any of your calls for the last 4 years, but I missed you man. Anyway, business business. I have a deal. I gave Stern a bit of money under the table for him to facilitate this deal. Pretty much I want to offer to give you Carmelo Anthony for Andre Drummond. But to sweeten the pitch, I want to take Rodney Stuckey off your hands as well."

We are going to sign Melo next summer. No need to trade for him.

    Here is two more questions.

Is Carmelo Anthony more valuable to a team than Greg Monroe?
Is Carmelo Anthony more valuable to a team than Josh Smith?

You have already said he is less valuable, all things considered, than Andre Drummond.

Oh, I get it. Addition by subtraction. Five or six minutes a game? I vote no for this, for you see, it interfers and complicates the time zones for all those amazing commercials. Besides, who would want to miss all those SMS messages that define ego within 140 characters...in search of an author?

Is there any way that, in addition to the "like" option after a post, there could be a "don't get it" option? I do like pass99's posts but I'm not sure why. It's like trying to analyze Ode on a Grecian Urn or something.

It's not about comparing player to player. It's about putting together a competitive unit. A frontline that features a PF/C rotation of Smith, Monroe and Drummond, and features Carmelo Anthony at SF is unstoppable! But if I can't have that unit I will gladly accept a frontline of Melo, Smith and Drummond.

Would Carmelo come off the bench at SF to give Stuckey a breather?
