Long minutes for Bynum-Gordon-Daye-CV-Macklin lineup. Yep, we're a-tankin'. Mack plays some pretty good defense and he rebounds well. He really deserves more minutes. If Max walks next year, he should get some more minutes. I really think he can bring more than Max to the table.
Did someone tell Monroe to tank those last free throw attempts or was he just too tired and didn't care? The go to guy has to be able to hit FT's ??? Final score Pacers 103- Pistons 97. One point Pacer lead with 41.7 seconds left. Pacers are 6-6 from the FT line those last 40 seconds, Pistons/Monroe are 1-4., hence 6 point win
Stuckey has been pathetic this last month of the season. I've lost all respect and support for him for how he's tanked to finish the season. Leaders don't ever tank. Stuckey is honestly a disgrace.
I honestly enjoyed this game, final score notwithstanding. The team's made a lot of progress. As for Stuckey, he does look like he's checked out mentally; he's been really, really passive since after the Bulls game iirc. He's settling for jumpers and looks a step slow on defense. No idea what's up with him.
Kind of been his pattern. We had a thread about this. I honestly thought he had turned a corner or something. I don't know - maybe he is hurt. Nice seeing Macklin play. He has a few moves on offense and the glass. Seems to get pushed out of his position way too easy on defense though. hard to say. Can see some talent but he needs a lot of work.
I think there was a stretch where Stuckey was definitely playing hurt and it negatively impacted him. I give him credit for that though. I don't know if he's still hurt, but most of the team has sort of bottomed out to end the year. I guess it was the ATL game where it seemed like Stuckey was staging a Kuester-like boycott on shooting the ball. I only caught a little of the 3rd and 4th Q tonight, but I liked Macklin's activity on both ends of the court. Good thing they didn't waste any time this year letting Macklin work through some of his problems on the court!
Yeah. Seems the earlier injuries set him back a bit, and maybe it is just that. I can't blame him for checking out if he has considering the circumstances, but his team is still fighting, and if he wants to be a leader like he says, he should at least try. If he is hurt, then he should just sit out the whole one game left in the season; he's not helping anyone being out on the floor the way he's been playing. I agree Macklin's been making a good case for himself with his activity. If he improves enough in the offseason, he could be a pretty decent backup big man next year.
Stuck's not even bothering to collide with anyone lately. In my opinion, he's still got WAY too much to prove to mail it in at the end of a lost season.
He was seeing a counselor to help him. Maybe he stopped his therapy. This doesn't look good for him..........or the team.
