Ok, decent first half to the game. We hung in there with the Pacers and finished the half 46-50.

    Here are some observations:
    - CV sighting. His only contribution was to take Hibbert out of the game, literally, with a stupid flagrant foul. Can't wait to be rid of this garbage.
    - Lance Stephenson should be our #1 target this summer.
    - We need to get rid of Jennings somehow if we want to have a winning team.
    - Ditto for Stuckey.
    - We need a coach who will pull Bynum out of the game immediately when he goes into Imgonnagetmine mode.
    - It would be quite foolish of us to part with Moose. Our bigs are not the problem. Our inability to use them is.
    - Smith leads all players with 15 pts. Moose is 10/9 with 2 steals in 11 minutes of play.
    - Something's wrong with KCP. I've not seen him play this bad on the defensive end.
    - Josh Smith is awesome when he aggressively attacks the basket.

I agree. The problem is that some days he is in the mood. Other days, he is not. Reminds me of Sheed.

Excellent hugs by Stuckey at the end. You could tell he was sincere. They almost bordered on being too long.

That final 10 seconds must have seemed like an eternity for Rodney. He jumped the gun a little on the hug and then had to wait yet again for more clock to burn off before he could move in for the sweet embrace.

Overall, pretty solid L. We showed some potential, gave IND a scare, and stayed in contention for the lottery.

Yep nice close competitive loss. The Pacers needed this one more than we did and we allowed them put some more heat on the Heat.

Meanwhile with the Cavs winning, our hold on the 8th protected lottery spot grows to 2.5 games. A possible win by the Kings over the Lakers would put us at tied for 7th...

First time that the Pacers have scored 100 points since... the last time that they played the Pistons.

I caught the first half of the game in the car on my xm radio and the pacer radio color man...Slick Leonard.... (a homer to the T,) said it was the first time the Pacers had scored 28 points in the first quarter since March 1st...

Zach Lowe keeps pointing out that the Pacers have been one of the worst teams offensively the last month or so.

Their 50 pt 1st half seems to agree. Most teams approach 60 when they play Detroit.

There were 2 or 3 times in the late 1st and 2nd quarter where I felt Loyer was trying to lose.

With Harrelson out why wouldn't the Pistons sign someone like Cheik Samb to a 10 day contract so he could help battle Hibbert?

For the record, Pope went in at small forward, leaving our front line too small, and this caused directly a 10-0 run by Indiana.

Another coaching loss. Coach leaves Singler in for crunch time. Singler has no function other than a doormat for George. Finally, Singler was taken out for a play or two, but it was too late.

Playing CV at center. Never playing JJ at small forward. Playing Pope only at small forward. Playing Singler at all. Playing Bynum ever. Playing Stuckey as a shooting guard when its so rare he hits a long ranger. Basically, coach is all, totally, about losing games.

Detroit was minus 10 in the 8 minutes where singler was on the bench. Plus 3 otherwise.

Loyer can't ride him 48 minutes per game unfortunately, or we might have had a chance.

Is Loyer under contract for next season or do we risk losing him to another team?

We are now tied for 7th with the Kings. The Lakers are now 2 games out in the 6th place spot. That may be too much of a lead with only 7 games left. I think 7th place should be the goal. That gives protection from one team jumping us in the lottery.

It was a good loss to get us closer to a first round pick. Time to start speculating on who the pick might be?

Guess what lee? i am quite sure there will be a coaching vacancy within the next few months. If you promise us that you will at least APPLY ..showing PROOF that you filled out an application, at least, we promise to never condemn your condescending posts again. :6shoot:

If it's not a point guard, does it matter??? Smith aint going nowhere....Drummond aint...Monroe aint....Pope aint.....Jennings aint.....The only off season move that matters is GM and Coaching staff....no rookie can change this team. We need no shizah taking veterans like Reggie Evans, Taj gibson, etc...to come in and straighten up this locker room. Do you really think Smith and Jennings are gonna share the ball and shots for a rookie to show them up???
