So is Jason's contract plus the cap space enough to get Boozer from Utah?

It seems to me that Utah was holding out for this because they need the space to sign Milsap.

We lose an "energy" player for and 17/10 PF that plays near the rim on a one year contract. Gotta love it!

I believe so. And that would be a SICK trade.

We would have $12 million or so coming off the books next offseason.

I agree. Would this allow Utah to keep Milsap?

How would this be any better than Rip for Dampier?

Utah can keep Milsap no matter what. This makes it economically viable for the Jazz.

We would get Boozer and keep Tayshaun and Hamilton.

That's why Dumars refused the Tay for Boozer trade..

    Stuckey/Bynum
    Hamilton/Gordon
    Prince/Daye/Washingon
    Boozer/Plaisted? lol
    Villanueva/Kwame

So then... wouldn't it have been better to get a position of need for $11M/year rather than a SG backup?

Because instead of us giving up a good player to get a scrub that expires, we'd be giving up a scrub to get a good player that expires.

Thats why the Rip trade is so bad.. they would have that contract for years to come.... compared to just the one year of being over the cap.

...AND getting rid of a "contract".

    I like it!

Dampier really sucks. A motivated Boozer going into a competitive free agency period will probably play his ass off.

I still don't think Joe is angling for this season, but such a trade would take us from 35 wins to 45 wins or better IMO. We easily become the second best team in the division, and possibly the 4th best team in the conference.

Could Joe also make a play at Lee?

If this trade happens, that would give us potentially five 20 point scorers.

    Hamilton, Gordon, Stuckey, Boozer, Villanueva.

Get those guys to play some D, and that is really exciting.

The answer is a resounding YES! and yes you aren't seeing things......Jerebko will come out of nowhere and be our starting 3. Finally, redemption for the Darko fiasco. Jerebko, ROY 2010!!!

    Stuck/Bynum
    Rip/Gordon
    Jerebko/Prince/Daye
    CV/Summers
    Boozer/Brown

I still think RIP will be traded, becouse I can't believe that Dumars would be so dumb to get another SG or try to make Ben our PG.It's just stupid.I won't be suprised,if we would get more players for Maxiell and RIP.
