    Kobe's stated that he has no interest in the Pistons. LeBron's probably either going to resign or go to the knicks. Is there a chance that we could sign Dwayne Wade though?

    Doubt it. I bet alot of this 2010 free agency class is going to resign with the team they are with. All this hype about the 2010 class is garbage and even if they did resign with another team I doubt it would be Detroit. They would want to go to a big market such as Chicago, NY, LA, etc.

    If you are into wormhole theory, and I am, then one has to consider that there are an infinite number of alternate realities, including realities where;

    • We are the most likely destination for Wade
    • Wade is our own free agent to re-sign after drafting him over Darko
    • Wade never become a basketball player.
    Just some food for thought.

    Actually, I believe Wade was a Knights Templar in his previous life.

    I was just thinking the Dwayne Wade has a weird situation going on with the Heat. He's considered a top 3 player in the league in his prime, yet he's on a team that was in the lotto last year, is struggling to get out of the first round this year, and has a rookie head coach.

    Seems like the teams priorities and his priorities should be conflicting. Shouldn't this guy be competing for ships every year if he's a top 3 player in a star driven league?

    That said, I saw an interview a couple of years back with Wade where he explained that he is from Chicago and grew up rooting for the Jordan Bulls and hated the Pistons. He said that for that reason, Detroit is the only team he could not see himself playing for. Based on that, I can't say I could see him playing here either.

    I choose the one where he's already a Piston because Joe drafted him over Darko.

    No chance Wade is coming here. If he doesn't stay in Miami he is going to Chicago or New York.

    Luckily for you, there are an infinite number of realities based on that premise, and in at least one of them, you own the Pistons.

    This leaves out the fact that the Heat were a better team than the Pistons last year despite what you said.

    I'd like to have him though. He's got a thick body and I think getting another guard to screen for Rip could be the tweak the club has been looking for and catch the competition off guard.

    I would love it if we could get Wade. To me, there is no finer NBA basketball than watching one player make 30 FTA per game.

    Does anybody else have the idea that DWade is so fragile that he really is not a major factor? When you build your team around someone, no matter how good or how much star power he has, if he is out with various injuries so much, is he really worth it?
    When we won the 'ship, they had Wade and we had Darko :pound:.

    I just thought, too, what if JD traded for Darko instead of DWade. Then it would be twice :MusicBigGrin:.

    Might work out better the second time. We could really use him more than Wade this time around :stirthepot:.

    Not a chance. Wasn't he against coming here originally; like hoping he wouldn't get drafted by us?

    Wade = 0%

    Any chance we can steal Michael Beasley? He is going to be a all star one day :)
