A valid point. It would be kind of cool if Mrs. D had some Marge Schott in her and sat court side with a little dog on her lap blowing cigarette smoke in everyone's face.

Saying the Pistons should sign Sheed or Dyess and play them 15-20 minutes a game means they have someone else who could play the other 33-28 minutes. Unfortunately they don't have anyone that can keep their minutes to that figure.

It is interesting that there has probably been 1,000,000,000 posts saying that Amir or Max should start over the years and here we are with a very good chance that the old guard could be done and it has never come up since the season ha ended.

Do Amir or Max have what it takes to contribute other than some spot minutes? Max never got any consistent minutes, and Amir hasn't shown anything that could sway us that he'll be an solid NBA player.

Because they both sucked last year. At least in my opinion.

Not to mention that with Curry at the helm, those 15-20 minutes will balloon to 33+ minutes after the first two weeks of the season. I don't believe that Sheed/Dice's minutes would be limited unless Curry is moved or we get someone like Yao Ming or Dwight Howard as a starter.

Curry has already thought of his 100+ possible "good" lineups.

But if you take Pistons starting 5 (Sheed, Dyess, Rip, Tay, Stuck) that's only 25 lineups. What are the other ones?

So Rasheed is willing to play 15 - 20 minutes with Celtics, but won't be a role player for Pistons???? i am very disappointed

At the beginning of last season, how many thought that Kwame would outlast Curry? :pound: :pound:

not sure the salary, but i'm willing to bet its alot more then what Ben took (when he was to be the 15-20 min bench player), and its alot easier to be a role player on a championship team then one that won't be again till after your retired.

I love Sheed, and the things he brings to the court, but really it was best for both sides to move on... I do wish he had gone to SA so I could root for the team like I will for our other big man.

My issue wasn't that Sheed won't play 15-20 minutes per game, it was that there was (and is) no one to play more minutes in place of him.

Sheed needs to be on a contender. Othwise he will be disgruntled, not try hard, and be a distraction to the rest of the team.
