Time for Zeke to just come home and be a Piston scout. That way he has a job in the sport he loves and with the only organization that probably loves him. He can stay behind the scenes, not get in trouble and only come out when the player he advises Joe/Gores on has a stellar rookie year.

It would be cool if Zeke somehow got involved with the Pistons. I can't seem him joining the organization in a minor role, though.

How cool would it be to have Isiah as a mentor for Brandon Knight?

That would be great....assistant coach behind the scenes. Not sure if Joe wants him on the bench to overshadow Coach Larry.....although Gores might...

Would it be too much to expect Joe to be out there working with Knight?

Let Zeke take his skills to the LA Dodgers as a scout.

Isaiah was a great player. He has shown NO ability as a coach or GM. Just as MJ and Bird have shown no ability either. Some people have talent (like Isaiah, MJ and Bird) and some people have taste (the ability to recognaise talent and develope it (a la Larry Brown, Auerbach, etc.).

I'm surprised Zeke didn't get a chance to see his recruits through and finish out his 5 year contract. It almost makes you wonder if there was more to the story....
