ISIAH GETS ASSIST FOR MOTOWN RETURN - New York Post

At long as Zeke doesn't make the trades and signing.

Isiah could give some good draft advice. Seems like his record is pretty good in that area. Zeke could be a scout. It's not as if he doesn't know the game.

He started ralphing in his own mouth when he realized he sucked as a coach and GM.
But definitely bring him back. Even if it is to just school AI.

    I never though of that!!!

Isiah can teach AI and Stuckey (more time with Stuck though.)

    Good Idea!

The Knicks haven't spoken with Isiah since his overdose. That doesn't sound quite right.

I believe they are embarrassed of him.

I am Ok with bringing Zeke home to work with Stuckey, Bynum, AI etc and doing some scouting.

Time for him to come back to the city where he earned his stripes and where he still gets his biggest cheers.

Love his game, but I don't like him. He's too sneaky and conniving. I wouldn't trust him.

If that's the case, I find that apprehensible on the Knicks part. I take it you have talked to Isiah.

He should be tearing by reading fans said "bring him back".

It would be a feel good move, but probably not the best decision overall. Probably not a decision that Bill D. will make.

"Thomas had a long-running feud with owner Bill Davidson but received by far the loudest ovation during the Pistons' 50th anniversary celebration last April during which he gave Davidson a long embrace"

Maybe Zeke was trying to squeeze him to death.

I'm wit'cha on this one. Zeke is missing some components of integrity that keep him from crossing the finish line of success. I like Zeke, but he has consistently displayed character flaws over his ENTIRE career.

I think we'd all agree that Mr. D made the correct choice for his GM position. But folks with character flaws can still make valuable employees, if put in suitable positions. There has been a lot of support for Bill Laimbeer as Pistons coach, and he's displayed a few flaws along the way as well.

My biggest question about Isiah is whether he's actually too volatile to function in a position where he's not the supreme commander - he's always seen himself as the captain. At a minimum, he has to demonstrate that he can operate under someone else's authority.

Absolutely, but Zeke has proven that he is not one of those people.

I might have to agree with you, unfortunately, for the reasons I described.

And you know what really sucks, allow me to paint the picture. You know how over the years we're used to watching the brain trust of Joe.D and Tom Hammond sit side by side watching the games, and now it's Joe and Scott Perry; can you imagine how cool it would look if that brain trust eyeing the team was Joe and Zeke, sitting side by side, all 82 games. Joe's great management style along with Zekes drafting ability and overall presence, what a sight that would have been, if Zeke wasn't such a questionable character.

I think the real problem, as someone already pointed out here, is that Isiah doesn't see himself as 2nd in command.
