    Thanks Markie.

That's cool news. Let's hope he means it, and everyone is committed to going as far as they can. We can beat anyone if we play up to our potential.

Iverson would be one of the best, if not the best, sixth man in the league if he plays to his potential with the reserves.

    Imagine the possibilities!

Would he be eligible for the sixth man award?

He is not eligible for the 6th man. I'm pretty sure you need to have more than half of your total games played in be off the bench and that isn't possible at this point.

Anyway, if Iverson is really sincere and follows through on this, we are definitely the dark-horse team not only in the East, but perhaps the entire NBA as well.

I hate to be a party pooper, but we are going no where. Sure in theory this is great. The fact remains that this team is flawed and Curry can't coach. It doesn't matter who starts we can't defend or rebound. AI and RIP both have put up 30 point plus games and we have lost. So it is not about either of those guy's not playing well because at times they have played well together and we still lose.

I am happy to hear that AI is being a team player.

Of course he says that. The decision has already been made for him. It's not like he volunteered to come off the bench.

Plus he's going to be a free agent in a few months. He doesn't want to do anything to come across as a poor team player.

Being able to coach and integrate the unique talent we have in AI, is the biggest underlying issue. We are very late in the season to be still tinkering with the line up. Hopefully the team will start clicking, but I have little faith that Curry will distribute minutes in a way that will ultimately benefit our teams position. But, that being said, it looks like Joe is committed to seeing this season thru with both Curry and AI. Both could have been bought out by now.

    Edit:
Curry can coach. It has to be difficult to manage the future, the present, and what we feel is going to be the past.

I wish we had Billups because he could PG for both AI and Rip---He ain't here
We play well withought Rip--He ain't going anywhere this season
We play well withought AI--He ain't going anywhere this season
I wish I could develop Stuckey and Amir--We have to win games
I want to reward Max Bynum and AA and get them minutes--We have one too many guards that is effing up the whole rotation
I wish we had Bosh--The soonest he may be here is the summer

I believe he wants to win. He saw the team captain go to the bench first. He had to know if that did not spell success that he would be next. We have attached a stigma along with coming off of the bench. Hopefully he can suck it up for the remainder of the year. I have a different perspective with AI coming off the bench than I did with him starting.

Which ever one of you guys goes to his next game, present him with an ovation.

With that attitude, this could really work. If and only if he truly comes off the bench. As in getting 20-25 minutes a game. If he comes in 3 minutes into the 1st quarter and plays 40+ minutes a game, is he really coming off the bench?

PS: This thought process is copyrighted by Roscoe I think. :-)

True. Curry shouldn't cheat the team with his minutes distributions.

Yes we can Roscoe, that's the thing that's so frustrating about not only this year but the past 4 years. We've had the potential just rarely deliver on it when it counts.

I do agree that we can beat anyone but I don't think we have what it takes in certain areas to beat the top teams in a 7 game series. We need Joe to get us there in the off-season. I am happy to hear about AI's attitude though. It's definately a positive thing!

We need A Affalo deffense,Curry has clear AA minutes, i don“t fully agree this decision,he need minutes and team needs intensity.

AJ will not have minutes with Curry, may be if coach next seasson (curry or other) not give him minutes at begining next seasson,Amir ends his career in detroit,is a expire contract, his last oportunity is rebuilding 2009 seasson, this seasson we must be sevenths in play offs to match Orlando. Afther we only can dream...

Important for team stability Allen become our microwaves without displeasure.
Allen should be encouraged starting from scratch, and regain the confidence of teammates.
