    Good Point Roscoe-

I forgot to mention that point. Almost like a stockbroker pumping a new hot company to potential clients to buy stock in. I think Sebastian Telfair is a perfect example of this.

Any comments AI teaming up with Chris Bosh for the Raptors. Could it happen since the Raptors are under the luxury cap. But obviously, Raptors have nobody that Philly wants. What if the Raptors are the 3rd involve that would bring AI to them?

The Raps have lots of guys Philly would like but Bosh is now listed as out indefinitely, I don't see them making a move this season. They aren't close enough to contending.

I heard about this last night on the shoot around. Denver is trying to find a team to take Nene and his 60 million contract to make the deal work. They are trying to get Portland to take Nene but they won't bite.

Who the heck wants Dalembert/Nene/Chandler at their contract values? These guys are injury prone, still not fully developed etc.

This would be an example of buying high and hoping to realize a good return on investment, the opposiite of what Joe did with Chauncey, Ben and Rip.

As long as Detroit and Orlando are not going to get AI, I will be glad to see him out west, w-a-a-a-a-y out west!!!

Next year, the Sixers will have the following:

    1) their own 1st round draft pick, which should be top 5 (right?)
    2) 1st round draft pick from the Nugs in the 20's
    3) another 1st round draft pick from the Nugs also in the 20's
    4) Joe Smith's $7M expired contract
    5) Andre Miller running the show instead of Iverson

If this draft is really the deepest ever, then this was probably a good move for them. Miller should get the teammates involved more.

This is a good step toward the complete rebuild if I am undersanding it correctly.

How many more years do they have Webber?

Could repackage a soon to expire (I think) Webber with the Nuggets picks for a serious big man. Dalembert, a new top notch 4, and Andre squared is a pretty good start.

I didn't check AI's contract, but with him arriving in Denver, Billups chances of moving home next year seem a bit remote...

Thanks for the link. I believe that AI is all of the things Simmons mentioned. It's sad to see his career take this twist, but when it is all done, hopefully he will have a platform to cement his greatness.

Geez, this guy is more long-winded than I am.

And dead on through the whole thing. You only get one AI a generation and now Denver has him.

I think the Knicks would be a buyer for Webber. They can trade youth and value for the soon-to-be expiring $20 million dollar deal.

    Thanks T, good article...

Like Simmons, I was hoping that the Clippers, my second fav team after the Pistons would land AI, so that we would have LA hip hop crowd cheering for the answer in AI and the stuffy Hollywood types cheering for Question>(Kobe..). :stirthepot:

If you have been to Staples Center here in LA you would know exactly what I mean......

Wonder if the number 1 and number 2 scorers in the NBA have ever been on the same team during the regular season?

No I haven't, but Sam Cassell and Allen Iverson would have been a very hard edged backcourt.

Denver becomes a very dangerous team now. If Camby is healthy and they can get something from another big (Nene?) they could be a legitimate title contender.
