Draft has turned into a glorified trade show - The Boston Globe
That intro was practically unreadable. Horrible journalism. Which made me discount anything the writer said after that.
I agree, then calling Max a fierce rebounder made me close the tab
If Maxiell and Wilcox are truly on the trade block, does that mean the Pistons are now in the LeBron Sweepstakes?
Sure, sure, but here's some insight... It’s a deep draft in terms of guys who can help you, but there are going to be some guys taken high who don’t perform and some taken low who do
Oh, there's insight right from the opening lines: What's the world coming to?
I read that in a Lakers' forum, fans are really excited about te possibility of getting Maxiell :S
Denver is tryint to shop melo....I would trade these two for him....make them a better deal and give them Rip and Max for Melo. Then see if you can find a tru pg or vet big man for tay....
Thats what a combined 5.1 PPG and 3.x RPG we would have to replace next season.
are you serious? Why? melo is their franchise player and moneymaker
If I were Denver...I would make that trade, as Melo will not take you to the promised land.
make free agent runs at wallace and wallace and just call them pistons west :P
Yeah, but they would rather trade him and get something back then possibly have him leave after this year.
so in denver they must be sure that melo does not want an extension, right? in this case - I do not see that other GMs want to invest seriously for " one year project" - ready to give something for but not actually very much.
I think he had to have signed an extension by July 1. He doesn't appear to have done that. This is the same situation as AI with us. We traded Billups for him as an expiring contract, then we didn't end up re-signing him - therefore we effectively ended up with nothing. erm sorry, we ended up with Capp Spayce. Maybe Melo sees Denver as a sinking ship and would prefer to go somewhere else? Billups is in the twilight of his career, K-Mart is nearly done, JR Smith is in the last year of his contract...
The rockies ... the perfect place for Rip and Billups to end their careers together....Rip & ____ for Melo.
It would be more like the Pistons Old West....
I think it's a just a rumor. Supposedly Denver doesn't want to go through the drama that the Cavs and Raptors are facing with their stars possibly leaving and getting nothing in return. But that's what everybody said the Raptors were leaning towards trading Bosh for the last two seasons and look how that turned out.
Rip, JJ, Daye, Max & our 2011 1st rd pick for Melo in A HEARTBEAT!!!!!
