But those guys would have been healthy under Kander.
Grant Hill's injury started as a simple ankle sprain right before the playoffs began. He played through it when he should have shut it down because he was the man and the Pistons wanted to get a couple of playoff wins for their mediocre team that wasn't going anywhere anyway. When he couldn't play at all against the Heat in the first round the TV cameras showed him sitting on the bench crying in frustration. He was still trying to shake it off so he could go back in. The blame for Hill's ankle injury disaster starts with the Pistons, who should never have let him play when he was that hurt that badly. All the screwed up diagnoses and bad surgeries came later.
Those are all lies. Nobody gets hurt under Kander. Grant Hill was faking injury to try to induce a trade and then he coincidentally suffered the very injury he was faking when he got to Orlando.
I see that Mr. D. has sent his boys over for a visit. Hope they didn't do any lasting damage. It's very important to keep moving and post from undisclosed locations only.
Very true. His injury started in Detroit and his botched up recovery began in Orlando. His injury at the time of the Sign/Trade was a very common and non-career threatening condition. See thats part of Dumars revisionist history. He would like us to believe that he pulled a fast one on Orlando but in reality he wanted G.Hill to stay a Piston. Given enough time and with the help of local beat writers you can re-write just about anything to make Dumars look good.
I like all of this post.
To his credit hes being a smarter drafter. But his FA signings have been pretty overrated.
madman across the water
Genius GM Chaunc, Dyess and Samb for AI With $35M+ flexability for 2009 Bup-Bup goes back home It only 4 months for his seeds to plant in the Denvers GM's mind. AI is not the answer for you !
This confirms madman for me...
So, what says you now?
I think he fall somewhere between good and great.
In order for a man to be a genius doesn't he have to be somewhat mad?
This pole was from last summer when the Pistons were looking old and stale with no room for improvement. Dumars has done a lot to rejuvenate the team for another run in the next year or so.

Pisssed off GM that cut off his nose to spite his face.
He has maneuvered his team to be the only major player in the free agent market this year, while everyone else is selling their grandmothers to compete heavily against each other next year. Genius move. Darko and Curry were mistakes. Nobody is perfect.
Ben aint Bup-Bup. But he'll make the same amount. It'll be good to see a hungry team again.
