I still love Tay. He does so many little things. I vote Sheed and Billups. I think Stuckey will be ready to step in for Billups. Trade Sheed and Billups for a true center so Stuckey can dish it off when he drives. The lack of rebounding killed us against the Celtics. The true center will prevent this from happening. The sad thing is it should have been Darko, if only he was half as good as his hype. Well boys. I'm excited about these changes coming. Call me crazy but I don't think its a given that we have to miss the EC finals anytime soon. I do wish we would bring in someone who is a proven winner as a coach though. Someone who can say, been there, done that.

DET was outrebounded by 2 in G6. That is a far cry from the double figure defects they had in other games, yet they still lost. Would they have won if they were + 2?

They don't get rebounds because they have to scramble and react to guards getting inside on them. As long as that happens they could have Wilt, Russell and Rodman up front........

It's good when Tay does the little things, but not so good when he doesn't do the big things, e.g. when his offense utterly disappears year after year in the ECF.

    Joe's comments

Flip didn't know for sure that Flip was a gonner until he discussed with davison this morning.

Joe says everybody is up for grabs...not just Sheed. Put everyone the table and see what offers you get. Kind of defended Sheed and did not want him to sholder all of the blame.

ws surprised I think that Steven A Smith had announced the Curry was the choice >> he thinks Curry has good Leadership skills, respect, accountability

Terry, Avery will be talked to too

Amir didn't get opportunity this season or playoffs...per Joe...he could have done stuff on the court that others couldn't do, and compared him to Stuckey.

No intention of tearing it down the team and starting over in the lottery

drives him crazy to watch his team underachieve. Game 3 and 6 gave him night mares and someone on the team has to be accountable for the poor play..not just the coach

Someone else can post what I missed until Roscoe loads the broadcast

Joe also didn't know if the Wings-Penqs game would go on until someone scored or if they would stop it due to tiredness...:)

Joe's going to trade whoever he's going to get the most value for? That's interesting.

I told you Amir needed to blow-up to win the trophy.
Looks like we got us a slashing SF/C.

Looks like this is partially what's caused Flip to lose his job. Flip didn't seem to hear Joe about importance of playing Amir.

Does this mean Lee was right about Flip choosing to lose by rebeling against Joe?

My ranking in who needs to go first to least

    1. Sheed
    2. Billups
    3. Tay
    4. Rip

I think that 2 starters will be traded. You almost have to package Sheed with another starter in order to get decent players.

Supposedly, Rip has a trade friendly contract.

Besides Sheed, Rip is the only one I'd consider trading if the return was right.

Stoney wouldn't ask Joe about Laimbeer. He referenced the e-mail I sent requesting him to ask him but said he would not "insult" joe by aasking about him.

Why would it be an insult? Am I missing something? :shout:

No, I think you are in the right about this. That is very strange. You would think that any coach would be fair game. He was on the ESPN poll too, so Stoney's got no stones.

Then Lee should be on the list of coaching candidates Joe should talk to too. Maybe Joe consulted with Lee and Davison before he fired Flip

Lee has been a little quiet today. Maybe they are in deliberations right now.

Just a 'rumor', for sure no interest in Zeke. I heard on Sirius that Joe also said he is NOT in favor of blowing up a team, he makes adjustments. Boston was terrible until they got 2 guys to make them viable and LA just one. That is what he is talking about.

Joe also said that it is possible that Pistons come back with the same team next year if he can't get value for the players he'd like to move.
