We'll have to wait two years then... this year's free agent class isn't that hot. And depending on what happens with Iverson and Wallace, we could be looking at a 25 win type of season next year. YAY!!
Just like last summer, huh. I guess I might still have to remind some that JD has bouts of panic-ville. And there's no longer any Hammond to calm him down.
I always thought Joe suffered from bouts of patience-ville... ...and it was the fans, specifically those who lurk in the dark seedy corners of this very forum, who suffer from bouts of panic-ville? Go figure.
I don't think he mentioned that he wanted to play playground basketball, he simply said he wants to have fun with it. I think the Pistons can relate to that. The more you win the more you have fun, bring on Amare I say. :fingerscr
Any NBA player that mentions the word "playground" in the context of how they want the offense run, needs microfracture surgery on their brain, never mind their knee.
I don't see how DET is going to pull off a KG-like trade this summer either. They do not have the talent to offer along with their cap room. The C's were able to trade for KG because they could offer Theo Ratliff's contract to match up with Garnett's along with Al Jefferson to replace some of his ability. Why would Toronto want AJ or Max? Can you picture the TO fans once they actually see Amir play? Is some team going to just give away their best asset for an undersized guy who can get out muscled by any of the 3 front court positions and when he is at his best offers little tangible proof of his impact on a game? It seems the Raps could get a better deal trading Bosh for someone who is already signed like say Rashard Lewis just going off the top of my head. TO more than anyone would seem to want players more than cap space given their local.
As scifi goes, that was a horrible piece of nationalistic propaganda, but man I liked it. Liv Tyler is so fine.
Joe would have to give up picks. We already stung them once with Delfino. I mean, they got him cheap, but he didn't make an impact. Maybe they will go for it again.
The amount of AI's salary makes his expiring hard to trade. If only we could cut it in half . . . I have a hard time believing we couldn't do better than that offering Sheed + which makes me think we didn't offer it which in the end is probably the right move.
When was the last time Kaman gone through a sizable stretch without getting injured? He goes into the "no thanks category" along with Elton Brand (and I was on the Brand backwagon eadlier). So it looks like we're gonna have to take a chance and overpay for another injury prone Carlos Boozer.
Seems like all these guys who play in the paint end up getting injured. I think this may explain Kander's stellar record... our bigs avoid contact.
