Amar'e not fit for the East?

Almost all the centers in the East couldn't shine Amar'e shoes.

    Cavs - Big Z
Celtics - KG makes Perkins better
    Magic - Dwight is beast
    Hawks - Horford
    Pistons - Sheed
Heat - Jamaal Magloire i think?
    Philly - Sammy D
    Nets - Brook Lopez
    Bucks - Andrew Bogut
    Bulls - Noah......LMAO.
    Knicks - David Lee
    Pacers - Foster
    Bobcats - Okafor
    Raptors - Andrea Bargnani
    Wizards - Haywood

Amar'e at C was able to hold his own against the West, he can do it in the East as well.

    Amar'e and Amir? WOAH

I would love to see a Amare & Sheed back court.

Takes luck, plus panicky owners and former ex-players (as GMs) helping out their former teams. Just got no love from Isiah.

Sheed would make Amare better and vice versa (though not as much). But, hard to keep Sheed in that deal.

It really makes you wonder about some of the people running these teams if a deal between DET & PHX doesn't go down. I don't see how the Suns can pass on a 5 tool player like Amir Johnson if they're going to trade Stoudamire.

I'm not sure I like this deal from DET's perspective as Amare is on the way down while AJ is clearly on the way up.

Give them the press clipps on how Amir would have been a top 3 pick and how is going to be a future all-star.

Beginning to wonder if Ernie is related to Amir

Will buy season tickets if Amare is in a Pistons uniform.

I swear if somehow we do get Amare for Sheed and Amir we better not be walking the ball up the court every possesion...

For the record Bosh is a better fit. Better defender, better playmaker...

If we really can swing a 3 way deal I will be so psyched.

Not sure why people think this guy is a center. I'd be much more comfortable with him at the 4.

He played Center in PHX with Shawn Marion at the 4 and had those big numbers everyone wants.

He now plays the 4 with a true Center/5 and his numbers sucks now.

    Amar'e is better 5.

I'm with you. The PHX Suns ran like crazy people and were out rebounded practically every game. They couldn't cut it in the PO's with Amare at center, and before resorted to having to play Kurt Thomas next to Amare.

To think that he will be an effective half-court center in a grind it out conference is a reach at best.

He's even talked about how much he dislikes playing the 5. And how h was so excited to go back to the 4 when Shaq came.

Who said anything about him playing a 5? Europe is full of 5s. Build a team around particular role players who bring energy full time, commitment in doing so and don't look so cool (with briefcase in hand) wearing $2000 sunglasses.

    Media, is anyone home?

Kwame...there is no want...no passion. Give me someone who beats up on himself and I can work with him. And this forum has the guts to knock someone like AI?...he's lunch-bucket heaven and the fans know it.

IF we land Amare, or even Bosh, we cannot continue to walk the ball up the court every possession anymore. Those players thrive in an uptempo setting. Same goes for pretty much all our young players (Stuckey, Amir, AA, Max), even AI, and I'm sure that bunch would be a lot more fun to watch than the current team. Of course, if we keep Curry, all this would be moot since his "game plan" revolves around playing guys out of position and not playing to their strengths.
