I agree. As soon as Leftwich learns the offense, Joey's back to bench warming.

All Atlanta has to do now is trade for Dre Bly....

Detteam.............I don't know if comparing Stanton with Chuck Long is the way to go. How did Long's passing accuracy work out for him in the NFL ??? I knew Stanton's stats were looking good out of college, but the Lions and the combine are saying he needs work on his accuracy. I did like his leadership skills in college though..............

I think it is too early to come up with any conclusions on Stanton. He's going to lose a year and who knows what's going to happen next. The big question is whether Martz is going to stick around and we don't know that. He may get an offer to be a head coach again and he'll jump.

Chuck Long...the very first on the long list of talented college quarterbacks that the Lions have managed to screw up.

It would be mildly ironic if Stanton was the one to finally break the Lions QB curse :D

It's a natural progression to compare quarterbacks of similar talent and destiny.

So far we know that Joey is crap. We don't know anything about Stanton other than he's injury prone.

We'll compare notes in five years.........I'm gonna guess he starts in less than 16 games during his NFL career................

You could be right, but we'll have to wait 5 years.
