Jonas is a bright kid man.
He recognized Joe's weakness for popcorn and soda and parlayed it into an opportunity to earn millions in the NBA!
    ...brilliant!

If Joe trades him, then it's like he's trading that little blonde Swedish kid that brought him snacks. He doesn't have the heart to do that.

Jonas has quietly cemented his place amongst the ranks of the other Pistons warm weather legends like Austin Daye and Chuckles.

This article leaves out something very important, and then subsequently makes an assumption that is completely wrong.

Here is what was left out. The great rookie season for Jonas was because Tay got injured, and JJ stepped in and played a ton of small forward minutes. A ton. Now, to automatically rule out any room for JJ at small forward? Hey, Tay left. We won nothing by moving Singler up to small forward. Of course JJ has a shot at small forward minutes behind Smith.

When we started liking JJ, it was as a small forward. You look at his splits between power forward and small forward now, and it shows JJ is way more effective at small forward. The article was right in mentioning that JJ is both too slow at small forward, while often way undersized at power forward. But what the author failed to go into - the being too small at power forward is an an absolute constant, and a thing JJ can't do a thing about as a power forward to make up for. (as he pointed out, JJ needs to hit 3's at a very high rate to beat out a guy like CV, who also plays no D at power forward). But look at what JJ did that rookie year. He rebounded very well at the small forward position. So yes, while foot speed is an issue at small forward, at least he can make up for that by being bigger than his opposing small forward. -by the logic this guy is using, Corliss should never have played any small forward, as Corliss was a whole lot slower than JJ. News flash, you can play a position that you have trouble defending - if you can make up for it by rebounding and scoring on the offensive end. JJ does have a chance to help this team, at small forward.

I liked Jerebko's rookie season because he was a hustler and scrapper. After the injury, he doesn't seem to have the confidence that he once had.

Lee, that's a great post about JJ. Probably the most accurate assessment of JJ.
