    Lol excatly. Guys, Amir Johnson is a mega scrub lets just face it. Whenever we discuss Amir Johnson I feel like we have to devise formulas to prove his worth. He had the potential, but he never tapped into it and never will.

    On the Raptors this year, Amir is 2nd in defensive win shares and 5th in offensive win shares, which places him 5th on the team in combined win shares. In the DWS category, he is barely behind Bosh, even though he has played half the minutes. This category is cummulative and not adjusted for minutes played.

    On the Pistons this year, Ben Wallace is the clear leader in defensive win shares and Ben Gordon is the leader in offensive win shares. The 5th player on our team in combined win shares is Stuckey (ala, the Pistons' equivelant of Amir).

    It's so funny to me that in a thread where Amir's name has been mentioned in connection with Shaq, Bosh etc, almost 90% of the people preferred Jerebko over him.

    If we forget per x minutes, then here is how the totals look for the season so far:

    Stat: Jonas/ Amir
    Min: 473/ 400
    Pts: 130/ 114
    Reb: 91/ 115
    Ast: 10/ 8
    Stl: 9/ 15
    Blk: 8/ 15
    PF: 61/ 79

    So, if Amir can score 16 points, and get 2 assists in his next 73 minutes, then he will have surpasses JJ's stats in every single category for the same amount of PT (18 FT's, which resulted in about 12 points). I really fail to see how there is a big difference here between these two athletic energy players. You all are just still in your honeymoon period with Jerebko. They are similar as can be. And as crazy as it seems, Amir is actually younger than him.

    Jerebko can stay on the court?

    His last 5 games have been impressive.

    You seriously can't compare a games first season versus 5th year, and 3rd with serious PT.

    We all saw the adjustments his first few games, and now his teammates are actually passing him the ball at times, and he is still getting used to the NBA.

    How about this stat, on Jerebkos point total, he has 65, or half of his entire total, in the last 5 games.

    Call it a hot streak or a fluke, that shows some improvement.

    Amir was 17-18 in his rookie year..

    And he came to the NBA after played in High School.

    Jerebko is 22 and he comes to the NBA after played in Europe.

    THAT IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE for instanse.

    My vote?

    Too Early. (But I really like how Jerebko leaves everything in the court every game)

    That's because he is starting in place of the injured iron man. If Prince was healthy, Jerebko would have about 1/10th of his current minutes.

    I'm really not trying to say that Jerbko isn't good. I really like his game and am glad that we have him and that he's getting a chance. But my overall point is that Amir also does a lot of things well. We like the new guy and are over trashing the guy who was fired. I've seen it in the work place a hundred times.

    can you do a writeup for me that somehow compares me to Ron Jeremy or Peter North? perhaps put it in a pamphlet form that i could handout to strange women. something about offensive pleasure performance shares..."ladies this guy is really good if you ignore the tangible evidence and read between the lines." man i just need consistent minutes!

    If you ignore the stats from the waist down, HarryF and Ron Jeremy are virtually the same player and can play the same positions. While Harry can't stay in the game long enough to qualify for per36 minute stats, his per5 minute stats show that he is very productive in spurts.

    However, Harry is usually coming in to replace another player, so he doesn't get the benefits of starting.

    In the one game between the Nuggets and Lakers this year (a blowout win for the Nuggets in Denver), Afflalo held Kobe to 2 for 10 (20%) shooting on possessions where he was guarding Kobe.

    It might be a small sample size, but he frustrated the hell outta Kobe. Afflalo is fast becoming an elite back court defender.
