Well since this the first time that I've started a thread in ages. Shame on me especially since I consider myself one of the forums original members right Roscoe..luv ya too boy.

Well' word from sources around town is Josh Smith talks were very productive. I also have an I
Snide source as well. Think sign and trade boys and girls.

So would you rather have Josh Smith Or Dre. I washable to meet Iggy this season and what a nice, nice guy. I must say he andJavaleMcghee are good people. With that said, I am Keeping vigil thatBig Josh will sign on the dotted line after the moratorium ends.

Just a I question for you knowledgeable pistons nba contract gurus. Would the pistons be Ina better position if they had amnestied Ben Gordon rather than giving up a first round draft pick?

Nice to see you back armygirl!

I'd much rather have Dre - I think his upside, cost, and the impact he has on the game defensively is worth more than what Smith brings to the table. If the Pistons are considering trading Dre for Smith I would be really upset.

I personally think the Pistons would have been in a better position from a salary cap and competitive standpoint, but that doesn't mean that Gores was willing to go that route.

    Hey AG...

I guess the plan is to play Smith at 3 primarily and then some minutes at 4. That could work. I guess I would feel more comfortable with Iguodala, despite his age.

I suppose if the Pistons signed Smith and traded Stuckey and CV I'd be all for it.

I don't expect Smith to sign here. Actually, I think it is a good thing for both parties to chat as the bell rings. For the Smith camp, it shows the NBA he has suitors right away that have cash. Since he will be the second look after Dwight, good to keep his name in the mix to establish a foot hold. I think he would look good next to Dirk in Dallas. As for the Pistons, it is always nice to have your team linked to a player that would instantly become the best player on the team (arguably) especially for a team in the Free Agent purgatory.

If Joe trades Drummond for Smith, he should be fired on the spot.

I think this is just posturing and we will end up signing someone else.

I doubt that a sign and trade is in the cards for a Smith to DET scenario. Joe has a set price for Smith that may be high. If Smith wants more, he'll get it via a S&T but that would put him out of the price range. Maybe Atlanta can get a trade exception out of it. That said, I'd rather go all in on a player than piecemeal 3 lesser guys who are marginally better than our young guys.

She was talking about picking between anDRE Iguadala and Josh Smith right?

No way Drummond is on the trading block. That would insane.

To be fair there's only 1 Dre around these parts - LA Dre!

Ok, two - Drummond. Nobody refers to Iguodala as Dre here so I can see the confusion. I was more confused with her 'snide' source.
