I only want Daye on the team if Gores' is willing to the distance and bring his life coach onboard also. He is useless without him. Isn't he Mike Abdenour's brother? That seems like a win win to me.

    Actually this statement is on-point.
It's a "sure thing" that Maxiell, Villanueva & Daye should be traded immediately and Jerebko should get the bulk of his minutes at Small Forward.

The whole "sure thing" statement makes Livernois' complete series null and void of credibility.

Surely, he could've come up with a more memorable moment than that!

That is some funny stuff there.

Keith Livernois' writing flair provides punch a team with no hope to meet season ticket sales targets could use.

CJ, when you say "punch" you mean "fake slap" right?

When are the Pistons' PR masterminds going to realize that promoting a bunch of mediocre vets who are all on the downside of their respective careers is NOT a good strategy to sell season tickets.

    I loved this part:
    It's official.
Keith Langlois is convinced that the Detroit Pistons have the most simple-minded fan base in all of professional sports.

The key to my personal happiness this Pistons' season, I predict, will be trading Tay by mid-season, and the earlier the better.

Package him with Maxiell and go get us a really nice draft pick or a good guard. Get his rotational minutes times to Singer, JJ and Daye. Let our young guys play and develop together this season - in a system where Tay isn't dribbling the hell out of the ball, wasting the shot clock, and slowing down a team like ours which now has two very big, athletic, fast centers, and a wealth of young guys who want to get out in the open court and run.

This is like Mass EFFECT 3, Star Wars Episode 1-3, matrix 2 and 3 - totally ruins the good stuff that came before.

Sad face about Mass Effect 3.

I don't mean to dampen the enthusiasm here guys, but I don't think Tay is going anywhere.

Predicting before the season that "Tay is not going anywhere this year" has been my go-to-move for the last 3 or 4 years. Of course Dumars finally broke his tradeless streak last year, so who knows what could happen?

I'd like to think that Joe intends to thin out the herd a bit and we have about 5 guys who are prime candidates for this type of transaction.
...That being said, each day I expect to log on to this forum and see a new thread titled:
'Jonas Jerebko to Denver for a 2nd rounder'.

We are primed for trading for a stud wingman from a team that's looking to hit the reset button and dump salary. Such teams would want to be able to cover the gaping hole of the departing stud with lowly paid youngsters, picks, or expiring contracts. We have picks. We have Daye/JJ/Singler/Middleton etc. We have the expirings of Maggette and Maxiell. The mission this year is to make sure that the rest of the pieces, Knight-Stuck-Monroe-Andre et al function convincingly enough that the stud wingman we get won't bolt at the first opportunity.
