Kidd is still an incredibly productive player. His Sprocket Points justified salary last season was $13mm. Unfortunately for Dallas he made over $21mm last year. Oops.

If he were to sign for three years in the 10-15 range per year he's definitely worth the gamble.

    No way he made $21M.
He did show some more scoring in the P/Os.

Didn't Mavs offer him a new deal for 3 years worth about $21 mil? NY only has 1-year at $5.6 mil that they can offer.

Re: Kidd in Dallas - Hill to NY?

    NY POST - Marc Berman
    7/06/09

"Hill, who visited the Celtics over the weekend, could be had for either the Knicks smaller exception worth $2 million or a portion of their $5.8 million mid-level exception. Hill played for Mike D'Antoni two seasons ago. D'Antoni called Hill "one of the best free agents out there." and is pushing to sign him."

i'm really liking how the summer is shaping up.... every power in the east is loading up on old vets who's windows are closing fast, and in the process taking time and money from young players looking to improve but us. Two years from now I really think if we continue the course and have a solid coach in place we'll be back to the king of the mountain in the East and alot of teams are going to be falling off the cliff

Does Kidd still have game? The trade they did with Harris made them look silly.

After they signed Kidd they defending the trade..

Funny there still defending the trade...

Harris is going to look even better next season now that Carter is gone...30 shots a game would be justifiable with the way that team is built.
