Twins one time center fielder Kirby Puckett is reported to have had a stroke at his Arizona home today and was taken to a Scottsdale hospital for surgery. Puckett, led Minnesota to a couple titles back in 1987 and 1991.
He's a good man who played the game with skill, passion, and joy. There's some new immediate treatment for stroke. Hope he got it.
Guys I am 5'7" and 198 lbs altho I have a 34" waist and I bench 290 lbs, I always related to Kirby ...I wasnt eveen 'that' mad when we lost to them in 87 cuz of Kirby! He was the paramount that all 5'7ers should base their achievements on. I will find a Kirby poster and use it as inspiration from now on....Love and Godspeeed to him
