I miss Scott Mitchell and the Great Lakes Offense.

A lot of youngins might not believe it, but we used to run Indy's offense with Barry Sanders!

One year Mitchell threw for over 4,000 yards.
Barry ran for over 1,500 yards. Same season...
    Hasn't happened before...or since

That was the year Rodney Peete got his revenge against the Lions in the playoffs and threw for three touchdowns to lead Philadelphia to a 58-37 victory over the Lions. Sad ending to one of the best regular seasons in the Ford era.

That was the year we notched our only playoff win in the last 50 years, right?

No, that lone playoff victory was in January 1992, following a 12 and 4 regular season in 1991. It was a 38 to 6 victory over a Jimmie Johnson-led Dallas team. Eric Kramer was the quarterback for the Lions, and had a very good game.

ESPN.com is now reporting Marbury could be heading to the Celtics very soon.

He and KG don't really get along anymore. If Marbury went to Bos. it would be the ultimate "Who's your DADDY" moment, as KG would make Marbury get down on his knees and Kiss the ring of the BOSS, at Half court before every game, in every arena.

But our only chance of beating Bos in the playoffs would be from them getting the ultimate loser, the man with the [STRIKE]golden [/STRIKE]garbage touch, every team he touches ends up in the lottery.

I could see Marbury going to the Lakers. Fisher ain't no spring chicken and Farmar's out for 2-3 months.

How is crybaby going to Boston? In a trade or out right release? Boston doesn't have the salaries to match Marbary's over inflated salary. Boston is dumb they are already playing well they don't need to add Marbury to the mix. :heh:

Buyout + sign him for peanuts.

He'll be humbled there, so I don't think he can screw them up too badly. But let's hope he does!

I see this a big upgrade for the celtics. He would not be the leader there, he would be off the bench following the 3 Superstars there. I don't like this deal. I hope it does not happen
