Wow. I'm even more embarrassed for him now after listening to the rundown from Skip.

Also, "Hi, my name is Carlos" was pretty funny.

That's IT? WOW, what a big baby. He easily couldn't have block as he was still standing.

He had a good excuse, he simply overblew this by confiscating the tapes.

All the hubbub for that? Not even close to poster-worthy. All it proves is LBJ's a weenie.

Agree that this whole issue has been blown out of proportion not because he and Nike asked for the tapes but because the media made a big deal out of it. Any BB player can get dunked on by any other BB player of the same height no matter what their stature is.

After viewing the tape the folks who were there and not there kind of let this dunk grow into urban legend status...and TMZ ran out of Michael Jackson footage so they paid for someone's cell phone footage for this off season NBA story.

If anything LBJ needs to turn this into a new commercial ad to offset the negative press on it...

My wife had the same idea as you did Dre. She thinks the tagline or theme for the commercial should be something like "see... this is why I stopped letting people borrow my shoes".

Nah, he has to do what Wade did.

"People throw down on me, but I never lose the heart of a champion. Kids think they can step to my game, but they have never faced down Rafer Alston in the lane. My sponsor didn't want you to see this, but I'm not afraid of it. You can dunk on me, but you can never be me. Because inside my chest, beats the heart of a warrior who can be wounded, but never killed"

Actually, If I was Adidas I'd sign that Jordan Hill kid and come out with an "Air Jordan" shoe as a PR stunt (spell "Aire" or something to avoid trademark infringement).

    business is war!
    LBJ is a jackass!

Main thing that bothers me about this is those tapes were the personal property of those who took them. Did the Nike Exec's pay people for the tapes as they asked for them? I understand that they were under no legal obligation to hand them over but still. The idea of taking property from someone without reimbursement.

Nike said it is giving back tapes confiscated from two accredited journalists who filmed Xavier’s Jordan Crawford dunking over NBA MVP LeBron James during a recent pickup game at a skills academy run by the superstar at the University of Akron. The sports apparel company said only one of the tapes captured the infamous dunk, which has been available on the Internet since early this week. In its statement, Nike said it did not take away the footage because James was dunked on but because the taping went against its media guidelines. There was general disappointment in Crawford’s dunk among online viewers when it began appearing on various Web sites in recent days.
