Those diet pills are really screwing up LH's judgment. :stirthepot:

This story is so wrong I don't even no where to begin. The guy's own friend sets him up. Lindsey "not my diet Pills' Hunter is in on it. And the pure stupidity of everyone involved.

Simply doesn't add up. The whole part about Hunter and party getting all excited over the guys credit score smells like fish guts to me. They needed to scam a guy making 35k a year? God knows there were a lot of guys "flippin" high dollar homes in Michigan in 2007. :pound:

Hunter may stupidly have lent his name to a grifter's Shylock mortgage company that worked the guy over. Though the portion about the FBI honing in on the big fish is likely the truth, they love squeezing celebrity rocks to make their lemonade...

Lindsey is supposed to be the most stand up guy on the team, yet he keeps getting entangled in webs of stupidity.

He's also relentless at man on man defending. Maybe he is relentless at getting your mortgage money.

Just my opinion, but I really think Hunter seems to be a decent man. I think maybe he isn't so bright and he certainly isn't my favorite player, but I don't think he's a crook. Kind of like Jammer...not bright and not a cro...oh yeah...Jammer is a crook and a corrupt commissioner to boot.

Hey Roscoe, I'm almost at 5,000 posts. Where do I claim my prize? What do I win?? Never mind that only 25 of those posts were of substance or meaningful...I want my prize you bloody Cannuckian cheapskate from Hell!!!! oh...I mean please may I have it.

I think you win the signal-to-noise ratio award. :sssh:

Regarding Hunter, I finally got around to reading the article, and however this thing is resolved it does not look like the kind of business transaction that the league wants to see its players participating in. I would guess that that Mr. D. is not too happy about it, and the pill thing, and that LH won't be joining the front office any time soon.

Hunter will be quietly dismissed if there's any meat to this issue.

I was including my chapstick flavor poll and slams on the Cannuckians...that's gotta count for something around here.

I'll give you those, plus the "Jammer is a hoser" threads. You're still not in double figures...

Call the guy stupid or call him a dolt...but it looks like there are a number of snakes in this pit. And just maybe, Lindsey himself was preyed upon in the scam...but it doesn't sound that way from the article.

Mix a "friend" (the set-up man and ultimate betrayer) with his real estate broker, his mortgage broker, his bank officer, and maybe throw in a pro athlete to spice things up and anything is possible. Stuff like this can and does happen to people deemed more intelligent and with far greater income than Mr. McClellan...but usually without the pro athlete part.

As G Man said, "Simply doesn't add up. The whole part about Hunter and party getting all excited over the guys credit score smells like fish guts to me. They needed to scam a guy making 35k a year?"

How can you explain that? I'll be really surprised if he's dirty.

For me, if he really isn't dirty, then really stupid can't be too far behind.

I bet when Lindsey is guarding players, he's really just getting close enough to try to lure them into his scams. When they reject his proposal, he just steals the ball or fouls them.

...and during games when he's not playing, he sneaks into the opposing team's locker room to steal their prescription pills.

The problem I have with the situation is Lindsay and his wife Ivy adding the guy to their bank account. However, when you try to make a quick buck thats what happens to you. I do not feel sorry for McClellan. He knew he did not make enough money to buy that house. He comes off trying to sound like a victim. But Lindsay and Johnson do not come off sounding like saints either. They all sound like amateurs.
