    Part of that is on Portland though. They've been playing terrible basketball lately. They need to ship Felton somewhere else; bad fit for the offense and fighting with Nate.

    After Lin's torrid 7-0 start the Knicks are 4-9. Mello is part of that, but it certainly looks like something ought to change.

    They should have probably traded Lin and Melo (or Staudemire) to separate teams in a 3 team deal. I.e. use Lin's value to help dump Melo's contract.

    Its a star driven league... and the owner wants Melo... there was no chance he could have kept the reigns on him... It was smart for Dantoni to walk IMO... New York has no chance anytime soon.
