With this 66 game schedule they probably don't practice at all to save their legs and keep players from getting injured. When you think about it what Lin is doing is not much different than what Tayshaun did when he came off the bench out of nowhere in the playoffs and was the Tmac killer on defense and scoring at will on offense in the post.
Nope, every undrafted guy seems to average 25-8 and lead a team of scrubs to 5-0 runs as they enter the L.
It's his 3rd team too I believe. That is a serious underdog to sensation switch-a-roo that he just pulled off.
Stephen Colbert summed it up nicely: Jeremy Lin has accomplished something that nobody has been able to pull off for a very long time: he made people want to watch the Knicks.
One point of contact is way easier than Charlie's impressive two point toes / chest to sun visor. The man is a professional after all.
I think maybe has picked the wrong NBA trends. He's right there with the tweeting trend, the planking trend, and the owning a Bentley convertible and Range Rover trend, but he hasn't really picked up on the "helping the team win" trend, or the "defense wins championships" trend, or the "give 100 percent for 48 minutes" trend. Oops! Don't want to hijack the Lin thread to dump on Charlie. I hope Lin stays on his brother's couch until he gets the contract/starting spot for the Knicks. Stay hungry kid.
Well, to be completely fair, for a while there it was neck and neck whether "defense wins championships" or "Bentley/Range Rover" would last longer. Which was very surprising given the usual reliability of British cars.
Tebow...........Tebow............Tebow.................Tebow. Lin........Lin..........Lin..........Lin.........Lin.......LIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe we should start Vernon Macklin to see if he is game changer like Lin? May lead to more losses (which some will cheer) or we may have a star sitting on the bench that can start next season??
