As soon as Vikes stepped out to 4-1 the media already had them as a play off team. Now they are 5-4
looking to find the magic again. They still play tough with APeterson and a good Dee but Ponder isn't the magic man yet. Percy Harvin hurt won't help.
----So if the Lions play smart this could be a victory.

1st in the NFL in passing yards. 2nd in total yards. 2nd in first downs.

I think I see where the problem is. MN just ran through our D today.

Anyone can be off by one. Don't brag until you get it exactly correct.

Three demerits for quoting your own post.

Yeah, I thought it was self evident our losing issues was run defense, lack.
But for several teams the issue[/s] [/s] is very pseudo. For example S.D.C. is second best a stopping the run but are lower half at stopping the pass. Lions are midpack at giving up surface yardage, about 115 a game and top 7 at giving up passing yd., about 212. The Pack's Off. and Dee. numbers are very similar to the Lion's stats yet are winners. Forget the 4 special teams TD's surrendered for now. Our stats say we should be winners but we are 1 game under .500 . The 8-1 Atl. Falcons are near the bottom in both Dee catorgories and run Off. The Bears are very average at most Off. stats but their Dee helps win with turnovers.
----This tells me the difference between winning and losing is happenstance. Or very smart and timely play calling both Off and Dee. The bottom line is points surrendered and we sit in the lower 3rd. At the midpoint. [/S]

LOL. This reminds me of the old Detroit News site. You could add HTML tags to your posts. If you didn't enclose the tags, they would carry over to the next post. You could start formatting <s> to begin strikethrough and every subsequent post would have strikethrough. Those were the days....

I italicized the entire forum on more than one occasion.
    ...that was always pretty embarassing.
