Maybe any quarterback we drafted would not have stood a chance. But we all knew this. Everybody did. Only the Lions brass did not. No offensive line and a lousy defense equals a losing team irregardless of the quarterback.
Yeah now they have lost 18 straight regular season games and 23 out of their last 24 dating back to 2007...
Exactly. No rookie QB should be put in a position to air the ball so many times. There was no ground game and the Lions were down quickly, so Stafford started winging it. That is why they should have drafted D & O lines. They never learn.
No D-Line, No O-Line, No secondary...hmmmm, let's draft a QB #1-again. Why oh WHy can't we start building from the trenches. Oh well, at least they're consistent.
Maybe the philosphy is that our quarterback can get his feet wet for a few years while we build up the essential parts of the team? By the time we have it constructed, he'll be past the mistake making phase. The only problem is that the QB has to survive physically and mentally. Also, the org will have to [STRIKE]endure several consecutive years of ridicule and embarrassment [/STRIKE] stay the course.
That's the problem Tas. My only hope is that when he gets hurt this season (as he almost certainly shall) it isn't a career ending injury.
na.... they have along way to go to break the record.... lost there last game of 07, 0-16 last year and 1 this year, but thats only 18 straight. Tampa Bay on the other hand lost there first 26 games they ever played, 0-14 and then continued to lose the first 12 games of the following season before winning there last 2.
Can't say that about Lion's fans and a bag of poop though. I guess eyeholes might be the right answer in that case.
- 2 new LBs, probowlers 2 new DL, but one tackler is out. 2 new corners 1 or 2 new Olinemen didn't mean dodo.
the Lions have lost EIGHTEEN GAMES IN A ROW! DO U ALL UNDESTAND THAT? HOW!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????????????? I CANT SEE THEM WINNING 2 GAMES THIS YEAR...
