Cleveland Browns vs. Detroit Lions Recap - NFL - FOX Sports on MSN The lions finally beat a team they were supposed to beat to get a victory over the Browns as Stafford throws for 5 TD's and 422 yards. I wonder how many fans at Ford Field left when the Browns scored what looked to be the winning TD and then Stafford threw the INT on the Lions next series.
In typical Lion fashion they lose when they should win... and win when they should lose. And for the 2nd pick in the draft the Lions pick.... [drum roll] Stafford lasted further this season than I thought he would... maybe we can pick a WR or DB to protect him.
If I were running the Lions I would bench Stafford for the rest of the season so he doesn't get killed before we get that next primo pick. Should probably sit Calvin too.
I just heard today that this game was blacked out in Detroit, and no one saw the fantastic finish but the sick and shut in living in Cleveland, a few dozen subscribers to NFL Live Pass, the CBS & FOX Sports Control booths and the cheerleaders, ushers and cleanup crew still at the stadium... No wonder I a fan 2500 miles away was first person to report it here on this site....unless nobody else cared or knew that they played like old School said...
It was a real gutsy performance by Stafford. Give the kid lots and lots of credit. Sent a powerful message to his team. Protect him. Draft a bunch of offensive linemen. Beating Cleveland by one at home after giving up 37 points is not so good. I'll stick with the Eagles thank you very much. I'm LOVING the NFL again. Got my Reebok McNabb jersey, and stuff to decorate my office. But I'll always be happy to see the Lions get a win.
Good question. I just checked. No MSU criminals, but they have a U of M guy named Jason Avant, who is a #2 WR. Also a Boise State safety on the team.
Yea...I saw Jason during the game yesterday. he caught a TD. Also had 150 yards receiving last week. He's a good posession WR. Philly likes the youth they have at the position so Jason doesn't get a lot of looks consistently. He's the go to veteran....
Yep. The first touchdown. Nemo, I can't tell you how quickly I fell in love with this team. I was jumping up and down when they did well...and sulking and cussing when they messed up. You would think after 50 years of loyalty to another franchise I couldn't switch over after just a couple of weeks. But I did. NFL Sundays mean something beyond survivor picks again. It's GREAT!! Honest guys, I know you are loyal and that's cool. But you deserve better. Pick a real team and support them.
I did them a favor. I was the one responsible for the losing. I think they won a ship with Layne right before I was born. ;)
You slowly fell out of love for the lions. It was easy to make the switch. I cheer for NE, although I haven't bought any of their gear...
