The Lions get back to work (hopefully not back to poor tackling and blocking) against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7.

How will the Lions respond coming off of the bye week? Game predictions anyone?

Tampa Bay will show the Lions how to run the Tampa 2 defense. Expect a loss somilar to the Redskins / Eagles loss.

    Lions up 10-0.

Roy Williams had another one of his missed catches that bounce high up into the air and could have been intercepted. Luckily, this time he was able to catch it on the rebound.

KJ is back and looking explosive. What an upgrade he is over Bell. He's a great combination of speed and power.

Wow, the Lions D is really, really, REALLY bad.

They give guys 10 yard cushions at the line, then another 20 yards after the snap. Guys are WIDE open all the time.

They can't tackle to save their lives. Seriously, I can't remember the last time the first man makes the tackle.

    They're undersized, overpowered and untalented.

Garcia is 18 of 19 for 200 yards in the first half (with the ball with over 3 minutes left in the 2nd Q).

Time of possession is about 20 minutes for TB and 6 for the Lions.

Calvin Johnson hasn't had many touches so far this season, but when he has - WOW.

He's the real deal. The complete package of size, speed, strength and smart.

On that last reverse for a TD, he looked like a man playing against boys. It looked so effortless. Almost like he was going half speed.

In a year or two, he'll be our #1 WR hands down. Roy will make a great #2.

A little scare at the end, but a win is a win. Thanks for two fumbles, Garcia. Lions defense is horrible.

Yeah that Garcia fumble on the 1 in the 4th qtr was a game saver for the Lions as Garcia must thought he was still playing for the Lions...

Finally the running game gets it going matching the passing game with 147 yards each. Both KJ and CJ looked good today.

Tampa Bay controlled the clock, but TO's did them in and the Lions had no turnovers which paid off this time. Kind of ugly for the lions but you have to win at home

Thanks for the reminder about my predictions this season. Team just doesn't seem that good to me so I pick against them. The had 9 minutes less time of posession and 140 less yards, yet they won. By the way, What do I call you ???

Why doesn't TJ Duckett get more touches. Was this a fluke game for him ? He looked really good there in the 4th.

He has been out with a leg injury for several weeks. This was his first game back.

I know there were talks this week about Bell vs. Jones. Where does TJ fit into this equation. Is he past his prime and just getting spot duty or was he brought in to get real work done.

It looks like TJ is #2 now and the whiny Bell got dropped to #3.

Can you believe that the Lions are 4-2??? The only thing that worries me is that they were 4-2 in 2004 (I think that was the year) and then had a horrible end to the season. The thing is, they are winning the games they were narrowly losing the last few seasons. Very good signs!!

Agree that they have been able to win games thay would have lost in prior seasons, but with the suspect secondary and the remaining schedule, I see them going maybe 8-8 and no better than 9-7. which would be a success in the Millen era!!!

That could create some optimism for the next year that if they draft defense they could actually fight for the playoffs. But I think it may be too early to trumpet any success, there are still 10 more games left. But I can say that so far I've been pleased.

Forgive me for my negativity here, but these wins are not very solid. This last one should have been a loss. We should have lost to the Bears. Easily should have lost to the Vikings.

And we are getting anilhilated in the losses.

    I really hope I'm wrong, but I still don't see 8 wins.

A win is a win is a win. If you get enough of them you make the play offs. No matter who they are against and how you accomplish it.Are you saying that you would rather they had lost to those teams?

No. All I am saying is that given the information I now have, I would guess that we will not win 8 games this year and consequently, won't make it into the playoffs.

We are on pace to win 10.67 games this season. Would you like to take the over?
