We should move Jerebko to small forward and play Macklin between 27-28 minutes per game. Check the rotations thread for full details.

Anyone else remember when Amir Johnson was dominating the D-League?

    That was a fun time.

Three things I remember about that time.

    1. Pistons head coach Larry Brown commented that he thought Johnson will become a special player someday.

    2. The Pistons were tearing up the NBA regular season those years.

    3. also............he was the last high schooler drafted........he shoulda just went to Louisville....

Stashing late picks seems to be an organizational trend. You simply cannot put a price tag on a 3rd round NBDL draft pick.

Especially during a cold, Michigan winter day... I remember the times I've visited that humid paradise with fondness. Unfortunately, since I've been married, Shmooeyville seems to have changed. I visit less and less and always feel like it's not as open and inviting as it used to be.

Macklin continues to tear up the D League:

    Pistonpowered.com

If he comes back to the Pistons and finishes strong, could it change the draft philosophy?

You can never have too many good bigs. Then again, if you have a Jeremy Lamb or MKG fall in your lap, it's hard to pass.

If Vern turned out to be the real deal in the big league, then the Pistons would have exactly TWO good bigs.
...that's not even close to being too many.

Still, too many holes to NOT draft the best guy available.
If Joe decides that his roster is money and he needs to draft by position, I'm hoping that he's thinking of filling roster gaps in the following order:
    1. C/PF
    2. SF
    3. SG (with 3pt range)
    4. PG
