And do what?? He will be 36 years old next month and I believe he wants to be at home to be "an at home" father figure for his 3 sons and daughter and watch them grow.

Why do we sports fans want our fav players to play forever??

Sheed already has an NBA ring and the NBA record for the most techs....Let him stay retired and go to high school games with his sons and take his wife on vacations to exotic places so that NBA tension can mellow out.:)

Sheed sitting next to Blaha doing color would be nothing shy of awesome.

I wonder if Blaha would notice if Kesler was gone?

You know I though about that at first, but then I envisioned him cursing the refs from the broadcast table and the team would be assessed more techs:)

I would pay for NBA League Pass TWICE if Sheed would do play by play! :D

I can see it now: PSE Network will lead the league in FCC violations.

Hell, he could even have is own segments: Sheed's "Ball Don't Lie" Segment. Was it a foul or not a foul?

Or how about: Sheed's "Felonious" Flops, where he calls out the flop of the game. LOL

When the Pistons play Miami, he will call Lebron Queen James the whole game! "Ain't no Kings in here!"

Ilitch Golf Outing raises money for charities

Illitch says he's "very excited" at the prospect of buying the Pistons

Coincidently CV attended and profusely thanked the Illitch's via twitter, although he's usually that ecstatic so have to take it with a grain of salt...

Maybe the pre-game predictions would be "Guaran-sheed!!!"

Sheed really could make a name for himself as a broadcaster if he could show how inconsistent the refs were with their calls over the course of a game. People would absolutely tune in if he wasn't a blatant homer and tore in the refs fairly. The refs would bum out knowing they were calling a game he was doing.

I don't think the refs would be worried. Sheed offers no real credibility when it comes to talking about officiating.

He would make history as the first commentator ever to receive a technical.
