Looks like a really weak and crappy field of contestants.

Isn't anyone going to join that can give me a run for my money?

i routinely come in last or 2nd-to-last every year. i go for a lot of upsets so if random miracles happen i'll be the only one that can win :)

unfortunately it never works...but i'll be trying it again!

    Me too!!! :reading:

I haven't watched much college basketball all season but I'm way into the bracket thing. :reading:

So I'd like to be a player in our tournament bracket, okay?:good:

This will be like an individual control placebo thing. Can someone who has no idea how the teams have played pick a few winners?:reading:

Actually the Sports Gal (wife of the Sports Guy on espn.com) actually beat him with her football picks last year. She doesn't watch the games and picked on arbitrary irrelevant data like "I like the city of Miami better than the state of Arizona" and "I picked everyone to beat New England because I knew it would infuriate the Sports Guy." LOL.

P.S. Oh, I'll tell the truth. I have been following the Fighting Illini, my alma mater! Pretty good this year too!

    GO FIGHTING ILLINI!
BEAT PURDUE IN BIG TEN TOURNEY TODAY!
    GO FIGHTING ILLINI!

Michigan State is playing right now on CBS for you MSU fans.

Yep Forummite Buckeyes #1 should be rolling in his hammock with joy~!! Looks like the hope for the # 1 seed for Sparty is all but gone....Hopefully they maintain a #2

They came out flat today and made a move midway thru the second half just like the Wolverines did last night, but came up short like their friends in Ann Arbor.

Remember you bracketeers. No team has ever won the NCAA tourney after losing a conference tournament, first round game...:lecturer:

    Too bad for losers...........:loser:

Oklahoma, Kansas State, Pitt, Connecticut. :nerner:

I guess that leaves MICHIGAN...:good: :king:

    Boston College and
    Kansas(again)

to get to Louisville in the elite Eight!

Michigan sweats it out to the end and grabs a 10 seed vs the 7th seeded Clemson Tigers.

Penn State gets jobbed due to their strength of schedule which was 300th in the nation???:ohwell:

Mississippi State and Cleveland States' upsets in their tourneys probably leave PSU out too as they took spots from better teams. Even USC may been left out if they had not run the table and won the Pact 10 tourney. Arizona got in despite losing 5 out of their 6.

Penn State's early season schedule was 300th. Their weak schedule before the Big 10 did them in.

Woody how far do you think the Wolves get this season now that they are in?

They cannot rely on the three ball or they are toast away from Ann Arbor. I heard someone say that Clemson presses all the way down the floor...

Is it one and done, or can they pull off at least a couple of upsets and get into the sweet 16??

If this is going to be a general MM2009 discussion (which I am cool with if detteam is), then should we move it to a more prominent forum?

While you guys fiddle with Rome, I'll continue with my discussion with Dre.

I picked Michigan to beat Clemson primarily because I'm a homer. I really don't think they'll get very far. It's one and done in all likely-hood. By-line needs at least two more years to recruit a full team of his own.

Agree Woody...I even went to the store today with my Michigan jacket on in honor of their return to the big dance:cheers: I am picking them in my bracket too in the first round, but don't expect them to get any further either. Lucky the Sims and Harris are underclassman and there is only one senior on the team, so I will expect them to be better next year.
