I remember a lot of good times going to the Silverdome to see the Pistons...but it was a seriously crappy basketball venue and the reason Bill D built The Palace.

I'm scratching my head why they chose Ford Field for the Final Four. I know they wanted to keep it downtown and yeah, Ford Field is pretty state of the art...but basketball in football stadiums doesn't make sense to me. Check out the seating chart.

Did anyone here attend the UNC-MSU game at Ford Field earlier this season? If so, what were your impressions?

Some of the 71,000 folks still left over after the finals Monday can get on I-75 and head north to the Palace for a free Jay Leno concert the following day on 4/7.

It is supposed to be a freebee for the poor folks in metro detroit, but I wonder how many hi spending alumni from the final four teams will muscle their way to pay your local scalper/ticket agencies for FREE tickets...

Georgia State cheerleaders, when the teams played the Jacksonville State University Gamecocks, would chant, "Beat those C____!"

    You can figure it out.

Some people in South Carolina use the phrase "you can't lick our 'Cocks!" to similar effect, since they're also the Gamecocks.

I've never understood 'gamecocks' as a school mascot. To me, gamecocks are either an element of badminton (and usually lost in a tree or on a roof) or birds artificially flushed out for the hunting impaired. Or is it a chicken fighting reference?

Don't forget to set your brackets tonight. If you don't set them by early tomorrow, you will miss out.

The early game leaders. This will obviously change because they all have differnet final four winners and because my pick was UNC!

    I won with Memphis and Tex A & M.

    LSU beat Butler though.

I'm 2 for 3. This could be the latest in the tournament that I've ever had a winning record.

maryland kicking cal's can in the 2nd half. usually i over estimate the ACC, but i obviously flubbed this pick. should've listened to barack, who thought the pac-10 was weak this year.

I had MARYLAND. I am 6 of 7 but F'n Miss St is showing its ass! They shouldnt have got in. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I always try to go 13-3 minimum on day one. I think I have 14-2 locked up.

Miss St!! You were really looking for the ultimate upset there...Washington is probably the PAC 10's best team

    Round Correct Pick
    First Round 1 point
    Second Round 2 points
    Third Round 4 points
    Fourth Round 8 points
    Semis 16 points
    Championship 32 points
    Maximum Possible 192 points

This is the scoring for our league. Is this the default or was it modified?

Going 32-32 in the first round (50%) or picking the NCAA Champion are worth the same number of points (32). This type of scoring system really makes your great 1st round upset picks pretty insignificant.

I'm not complaining...just making an observation.
