I'm watching.....If MSU was in we would probably have a chat session, but the game is just a lets-hope-Duke-falls-flat-game for most on the USA...except the folks in NC and the few like you who had them winning the whole shebang in their bracket
Well Butler had held all previous opponents to below 60 so as soon as Duke got there with a little less than three mins, I figured they had the W, but Butler showed why they were in the this game battling to the end ......but once again their poor shooting in the second half doomed them. Bottom line the Duke tall light skin guys were better than the Butler tall light skin guys..... No offense but you know what mean here. Yeah Hayward almost hit the three at the end, but he and Howard were a combined 7 of 25 shooting Meanwhile the Duke bigs were tipping in buckets from inbound plays and basically blocked every 4th basket attempt by the Bull dogs.....in fact they stopped at least three runaway hoops by Butler and the first one Butler failed to score and the second one the Butler shooter missed the two FT. So no Hoosier magic here as the nation let out a collective groan as Hayward missed the shot from the right with 6 seconds left and then missed the prayer with time running out. I wanted that Butler win so we didn't have hear Duke Vitale's mouth who predicted that there was no way Butler would hold Duke under 60 points...as he called a Duke victory on Saturday...... Congrats Duke
Many thanks to Detteam for setting up the Brackets!!! I WON!!! Do I get some kind of statue?? (Now, there's a fastball if I ever sent one). A Prize?? (That's fastball number 2) A word to the wise: I set up my bracket originally, but then let my daughter (age 38) look at my choices, and then she tweaked my picks a little - including changing my winner form Kentucky to Duke. (Of course she has a Phd from Duke and is a "little" biased). She finished second last year in another bracket so she does know something I don't. But, just so you all know, YOU LOST TO A GIRL!!!
I was at the games all weekend. Great environment, even better seeing Duke win and Butler fans go home with long faces. Great tourney.
