Creds to you for all the recaps, mikhail. Just wanted you to know it's very appriciated. Keep up the good work.
I believe that members are the engine behind this forum being what it is. I used to be more involved before, then stayed away with all the family and job commitments. Now I am back for good. Everyone's contributions are appreciated here and let's just keep this good thing going, especially while we still have the team.
Glad to be back. Maybe I am so optimistic because I have watched maybe a handful of games that entire year?
Today's recap: This time it wasn't Pat Riley making miracles. Instead, Michael Jordan came to him. Jordan isn't looking for a front office spot or a stake in the Miami Heat. He wants to play ball. "I am going to win a championship with the Miami Heat in 2011. I figure with Dwyane, LeBron, and Chris on the court, there should be a lot of open shots. And I promise you, I can still hit my jumpers," Jordan told reporters with a smile. Bulls signed Ronnie Brewer, 25, to a three-year, $12.5 million contract. The deal reunites Brewer with former Utah teammates Carlos Boozer and Kyle Korver, who became Bulls earlier this month. Miami Heat re-signed center Joel Anthony City of Indianapolis and the Indiana Pacers have officially reached an agreement to keep the team in town for the next three years. Timberwolves ready to sign European center Nikola Pekovic Dampier ndicated Friday the Bobcats would get the first chance to re-sign him presumably for a much smaller salary if they decide to wipe out the non-guaranteed $13 million due in the final year of his deal to clear salary-cap space. I wonder if Joe D will have any interest. Pistons president Joe Dumars had intended to be busy this summer, but the waters have been calm thus far.
If Joe goes and signs Dampier, I'm joining the "Joe doesn't know what he's doing and he should be fired" camp.
I'd say, you have to look at $$$. Dampier is a legit 5. Yeah, he's got holes in his game, yeah he has shortcomings. But on this team he'd be a useful big.
Very true. It would not a bad deal if the price was right. He is coming from a winning program. Be better than Kwame Brown.
There is no big that we can get trough free agency. We need to trade Rip for one.. But to trade Rip we need to how the NBA that he still can play very well without injuries.. so.. in Decemeber we will be around some rumors to trade Rip to a contender team for a C or a 6-11 PF ..
He would cut into Monroe's minutes. I'd rather be forced to play the rookie heavy minutes because of the upcoming injury to Wilcox.
Logically, he should cut into Ben's minutes. Ben is 20-25 min per night guy. Unless you want to pair Monroe with Maxiell or CV. At the same time, if Wilcox could put his mind into the game, he could be that big that the team needs for 20 min/game.
Which contender has a spare C or 6'11 player to move? Dampier would be a great signing by Joe. He's been kicked around for years and will be hungry to prove his critics wrong. I don't see how this can't work out.
THANK-YOU! THANK-YOU!! THANK-YOU!!! Folks there is no phantom trade to be made at the deadline, the time to get it done was last week and Joe couldn't put the popcorn and soda down long enough to get it done, I care nothing about the deals he "tried" to make but couldn't, this is basketball not darts and horseshoes.
I agree with Motown "Got Jokes" Pride...this was an awesone assessment of Joe's FA involvement....which was nada. Aside from some leak about discussions about getting Tyson Chandler, a guy he should have secured with a S & T for Ben in 2006, the only thing Joe has gained since 7/1 was a few more extra pounds.
well, chitown did not want to give Chandler away to division rival. better lose him to the west instead of helping your direct rival.
