Recent news: Bucks sign PG Dooling Trail Blazers hire Thunder's Cho as GM Chicago may have some interest in T-Mac and Josh Howard Kings send Brockman to Bucks for Darnell Jackson and a future second-round pick
Hammonds Milw team was the 5th seed in the playoffs last season and he's making moves to improve the team, we were in the lottery and Joe has done..........
It's obvious that Joe want's the absolute worst record next season thinking that if he makes no moves, he can get the #1 and 31st pick as well as a new coach...after all we have the 29th best starting five and have to assume that the bench is didn't make the top 20....
The Raptors are now the B-Team... Banks Barbosa Barnes Belinelli Bargnani Very strange. Obviously, Bynum has a ton of negotiating leverage against them.
I wonder if this has to do with playing time. Not sure what Joe's interest was there, although according to the sources he was in contact with Barnes.
Playing time and money. This is his first real payday, and he'll get minutes in Toronto. Makes sense.
Laugh if you want, but Dooling will be a solid backup for Jennings. Hammond is putting the pieces together, maybe not for a contender, but a legit playoff team with an $18M contract falling off the books next summer.
I'll give you that. Take away 2 lottery picks (Jennings and Bogut) and they would be awful, and it took being awful to get those guys. I'm ready for that ride as long as the young guys are driving. As Ball Don't Lie said, If we're going to bad we might as well be young.
Are you saying that Joe will be taking a different course than sucking for 5+ years? They haven't been above .500 since 2008.
if that is the right recipe for success; see: milwaikee; why to complain? yeah, I know that JoeD promised to rebuild on the fly but he forgot to mention that he flies very slowly /cough, cough/
Just a reminder: We won a championship, lost in game 7 of the next one, and had four more consecutive ECF appearances. It was a hell of a ride. Now we're rebuilding, which is inevitable after a long run at the top. Every great team and franchise has had to go through this. The only thing I'm looking for right at this moment is: do the Pistons have enough really good young assets in place? I think we might, but we'll know a lot more at the end of this season than we do now.
